"Oh, so you know about elementals?" The water elemental asked. "How strange that a human knows of our existence, stranger that you can actually hear me. Almost as perplexing as you killing my dragon."
The wind elemental then decides to communicate. "Hey there Drippy." It said.
"Oh, if it isn't breezy. So, you were helping this human." Drippy responded. "Must we use these nicknames the Goddess gave us though? Seems kind of childish."
"I do suppose I have never told Mia here my true name." Breezy said. "I suppose I should allow her to know it. Mia, my name is Tolvash."
"My name is Aquir." The water elemental said. "Please address me using my proper name. I do hate the nickname the Goddess gave me."
"It is a pleasure to meet you Aquir." Mia said with a smile. "Also, I am glad to finally know your name Tolvash."
"I understand how you killed my dragon. It was all Tolvash's doing." Aquir stated. "What shall I do now that you have killed my play thing?"
"You shouldn't kill people from entertainment!" Mia shouted.
"And why not, humans and other life forms are far beneath us elementals." Aquir replied. "Do humans not hunt for sport? I fail to see the difference."
"Just because you are stronger doesn't give you the right." Mia continued. "As for hunting for sport, just because someone else does it doesn't make it right for you to do it. Life is precious and should be cherished. If an animal must die it should only be for food and supplies."
"What a strong sense of justice you have, human." Aquir stated. "So Tolvash, why have you attached yourself to this human, do you not think it beneath you to do such a thing. You are a mighty force of nature you should not lower yourself down to the level of a human."
"Mia agreed to let me experience what she experiences." Tolvash said. "I am an eternal being and yet I have experienced more in the short time I have been attached to Mia than I have throughout all of history."
"So, you feel what she feels?" Aquir questioned. "So, you must have quite enjoyed what happened earlier. I watched the whole thing. It looked like she was enjoying herself quite a bit."
"You saw that?!" Mia yelled.
"Well of course." Aquir replied. "I have been following you since you killed my dragon. I wanted to find out more about you. I must admit it was an amusing show."
"You should have felt it." Tolvash replied. "Words cannot describe the experience. I am sure if you join with Mia more experiences like that one will arise again."
"Why should I join with a mere human?" Aquir questioned.
"If for nothing else, it is the most fun I have had my entire existence." Tolvash replied.
"Well I do suppose I need something else to do now that my dragon has been killed." Aquir went on. "Human would you like to make the same pact you made with Tolvash with me?"
"It would be my honor." Mia said.
"So, let it be." Aquir said as the void turned white and Mia returned to consciousness. Mia's body had a reaction to the new spirit and her blonde hair turned to a pale blue.
Mia then got out of bed since morning had come. She found herself some clothing and got dressed. As she did, she noticed her wound on her side no longer hurt. She felt of it and noticed the wound was gone. "How?" She whispered to herself.
"That was me." Aquir told her in her head. "Water has the power to heal as well as the power to destroy. You also have the ability to breathe underwater now, since you are now part of the water yourself."
"Wow that all sounds extremely useful!" Mia said with excitement. "Thanks for joining me Aquir."
Just then Mia heard a knock on the door. "Miss Mia, are you awake. It's Lucell."
"Oh, why is her heart racing?" Aquir asked. "Is she alright?"
"It is perfectly normal." Tolvash replied. "She gets like this sometimes when she sees Lucell. Though it's never been this bad before."
"You two quiet down." Mia whispered to herself. "I am coming Lucy. Just give me a moment to finish getting dressed."
"Miss Mia!" Lucell shouted through the door. "I am so proud of you right now!"
Mia opens the door to a happy Lucell. "So why are you proud?" Mia asked.
"Because you acted like a proper lady just now and did not want me to see you undressed." Lucell replied.
Mia blushed. "It's only normal for a girl not to want to be seen!" She shouted back.
"Exactly." Lucell replied. "And that is why I am proud."
Mia continues to blush until she slams the door in Lucell's face.
"Oh, you were right Tolvash." Aquir started. "This is going to be entertaining. There is like a sea of emotions in here."
"See I told you it was fun." Tolvash replied.
Lucell shouted from behind the door again, still standing there where Mia had slammed the door on him. "Miss Mia, I came to change your bandages, would it be alright if I came inside?" He asked.
"I don't need any bandages." Mia shouted back through the door. "My wound is completely healed."
"That is fantastic news!" Lucell shouted back through the door. "I was beside myself with worry all night." Lucell paused for a moment. "Why are we still talking through the door Miss Mia?"
Mia then opened the door. "I don't really know honestly." She said. "I just felt like it."
"No matter." Lucell said to Mia. "We need to make our way to the throne room. The King will want to see us off on our journey." With that Mia and Lucell left to go meet with the King.
The King was sitting on his throne with Ben next to him. "Oh, good morning dragon slayer!" Sebastian said. "I do hope everything was to your liking last night?" He then turned to Lucell. "And I am sorry so many maidens were not to your liking Mr. Lucell. We have punished them accordingly."
Mia and Lucell then looked at each other and Mia's face became as red as a beat. "I had a great night's sleep yes!" She shouted out quickly to Sebastian.
"That is fantastic!" Sebastian smiled. "Do tell me though, Dragon slayer. Wasn't your hair yesterday blonde?"
"Aye I do believe it was." Ben added. "Did something happen, Lass?"
"Oh, I met the water elemental and we made a pact so my hair is blue now I guess." Mia tried to explain.
"I don't know what any of that means, but it sounds important!" Sebastian added. "Did you think about what I can grant you?"
"Yes." Mia answered. "I would like to stay in your kingdom for a week or so while I train with the water elemental Aquir. I need to get a handle on my new abilities."
"You are going to have to make a better request than that!" Sebastian complained. "Look, take the week to think about what you really want. You are welcome to stay in the palace while you train and please visit the town, now that the dragon is gone it is a lively vibrant place. I am sure everyone would love to meet their savior."
"Thank you." Mia said with a bow.
"Please don't bow to me!" Sebastian pleaded. "Let's all have a nice breakfast and just enjoy the morning. You can leave to start your training after that."
Lucell then turned to Mia. "I am sorry." He said.
"What are you sorry for." Mia asked.
"I did not notice your hair had changed color." Lucell answered.
Mia then just smiled and replied, "It's okay Lucy I still love you." As she walked off.
Lucell just stood there. "Did she just say she loved me?" He asked himself as he watched her walk to the dining hall.
