Morning arrived and everyone Edward, Sabrina, Mia, and Lucell all made their way to the training site. Today was going to be a full day of both statesman training by Edward and combat training from Sabrina. "Yo, short stack!" Sabrina said, waving at Mia. "Hope you're ready to learn today!"
"I am!" Mia agreed cheerfully. "What kind of training are we going to do today?" Mia was curious as to why Sabrina had Lucell come along.
"Well I am going to teach you how to fight." Sabrina smiled. She then grabbed the king and said, "And Kingy here is going to teach you how to be a leader."
"Right." Edward said. "I hope you are prepared to learn, Miss Mia."
"So short stack, since you are the one being trained, which would you like to do first. The cool combat training with yours truly, or the boring brain stuff with Kingy." Sabrina teased.
"Boring it may be, but proper etiquette must be followed when dealing with the nobility." Edward defended himself. "Dealing with nobles can even be more dangerous than a battlefield, especially if you are the King."
Mia thought for a moment. "Well I think I would rather do the physical stuff in the morning and learn the mental stuff after that. So, Sabrina, you train me first."
"Fantastic! I knew you would make the right decision, short stack!" Sabrina rejoiced. "Ok let's jump right into your training. Oh, Lucy do come here for a moment." She said beaconing Lucell to her. "Alright Mia, I want you to see me go all out in a fight, observe my movements and watch what I do." With that she prepared herself to battle Lucell. "Don't hold back Lucy!" She said as she launched her attack on Lucell. Sabrina was gone in a flash; Mia could not even see any of her actions. She could only see Lucell standing there, moving his arm around. Upon closer inspection Mia could see that Lucell was actually blocking attacks with one of his arms. Shockwaves were flying with every block.
"Have you warmed up enough yet Miss Sabrina?" Lucell casually asked, still easily blocking all of her attacks with one arm.
"It's no fun if you don't fight back Lucy!" Sabrina shouted during her onslaught.
"Very well." Lucell said as he grabbed her foot midkick and stopped her dead in her tracks. He then flung her off into the tree line.
"Miss Sabrina!" Edward shouted as he ran towards the woods. Sabrina was lodged into a tree, its truck shattered all around her. "Oh Goddess! You are hurt!" Edward frantically tried to get her out of the tree."
Sabrina then smiled and launched herself out of the tree, shocking Edward. She launched another full on assault on Lucell to which he blocked her attacks again. "I fail to see how this is teaching Miss Mia anything at all." Lucell sighed as he looked at Mia. "Wouldn't it have been better for you to fight someone at your level?" Lucell asked Sabrina.
"I never miss a chance to fight you Lucy!" Sabrina shouted while panting. "I am sure Mia is learning a lot by watching my movements. Now fight me like you mean it!"
"Fine." Lucell sighed. He then pulled back his arms and swatted Sabina like a gnat. When he attacked his hand grew to an enormous size. The attack sent Sabrina flying into the air. She regained conscious mid air and twirled so that she would land on her feet. Upon landed Lucell said, "Are we done sparing yet? I am sure Miss Mia would like to train."
Sabrina wiped the blood from her mouth and answered. "Yo short stack, you got any questions?"
"How do you move so fast!" Mia shouted. "I would really like to learn how to do that."
"Oh, that's easy!" Sabrina answered. "I can teach you that in a jiffy since you already know about magic." Sabrina looked around. "Hey where is Kingy?"
Edward was still next to the tree in shock of what he had witnessed. He had no idea that the demons processed this much power. He wondered how humanity ever thought they stood a chance. "I see him over there." Mia shouted.
"Oh, Kingy did you run to my aid?" Sabrina was touched. "You are just too sweet." She smiled.
"Ah yes, alas you did not require it however." Edward answered as he walked back to the group.
"So, Mia." Sabrina started. "You have to feel the echoes of the Goddess's magic within you and concentrate it into your legs. Then you push with all your might and you will travel at speeds you never thought possible. It is important to maintain magic sense while doing this however since you will be moving faster than your eyes can see. Magic sense also allows you to sense what your opponent is going to do, so you can block or dodge the attack."
"Right." Mia tried to piece together everything Sabrina just said. "So, I just focus my magic in my legs and push as hard as I can." Mia whispered to herself as she attempted what Sabrina instructed. When she released she vanished before all of their eyes. No one could follow her movements except for Lucell. He watched her jump extremely high into the sky. He was glad she decided to go up instead of straight on her first attempt as she probably would have hurt herself.
"Where is short stack?" Sabrina asked. To which Lucell replied by simply pointing up. Sabrina then focused until she could sense Mia far above them. "Oh, shit we have to catch her! That fall will kill a human."
Lucell smiled. "I wouldn't worry about Miss Mia. I am sure she will be fine." Lucell smiled. While in the sky Mia had time to reflect upon what to do next. She decided being so high up would be a great opportunity to test out her flying magic. She flew around in circles for a bit and decided to see if that focusing trick could make her fly faster. She focused all she had and vanished again. This time she created a loud kaboom, she had broken the sound barrier. It was a few minutes before Mia made her way back to the forest and she finally landed next to Lucell. To which he smiled at her and put his hand on top of her head. "See I told you she would be fine." Lucell smiled.
"What she can fly now?" Sabrina questioned. "Since when can she fly?! I didn't even know flying was a thing!"
"The wind elemental taught her on the way to the bath one day." Lucell answered. "Since then I asked her to keep it under wraps until an opportune moment arrived. Judging by the shock on your face I am guessing my plan to surprise you worked."
"That's so cool short stack!" Sabrina shouted. "But promise me you won't fly around in a skirt like you just did ok short stack?" Mia was wearing a new skirt that she had gotten. She loved how easy it was to move in and how airy it was on a hot day.
"Why not?" Mia asked. "Skirts are just the best, so much cooler than pants. I can't believe what I was missing as a man."
"I see teaching her will be harder than I thought." Edward said as she sighed.
"Ya short stack here, doesn't really understand a lady's modesty." Sabrina said to Edward.
Mia still has no idea what she did wrong. "Lucy what are they talking about?" She asked.
"I believe they are talking about the exposure of your private parts during flight." Lucell casually explained.
"Yes that is what I am talking about!" Sabrina shouted. "You can't just be showing that to everyone! A Lady needs to hide her goods for the man she likes, or woman she likes, not saying you have to be with a man short stack."
"Oh I guess I didn't think about it." Mia answered. "Ok, no more skirts for flying."
"No skirts for combat either." Sabrina continued.
"But, they are so easy to move in!" Mia complained.
"And what happens when you kick?" Sabrina asked.
"I guess see your point." Mia conceded.
Just then Vanessa made her way through the woods and joined the group. "Well hello Sir Knight!" She smiled. "Oh and Lucy and Rina are here too!" Vanessa then turned to Edward. "But who is he?"
"Right, Kingy meet the Goddess, Goddess, Kingy." Sabrina said, introducing the two of them.
"Wait did you say Goddess!" Edward shouted.
