"Tell me something Ell.", Jack said as he got serious, crouching down to your eye level on the bed, "Is it worth it?"
Sitting with Jihyun on her couch and blankly looking at the T.V. screen, you couldn't get that line out of my head. Is it worth it? Letting someone go that you like so much and who likes you back for who you are for your stupid ego.
You glanced at the precious girl sitting next to you, she was now wrapped in a blanket burrito, face puffed up with an excessive amount of popcorn and you couldn't help but smile at the sight of her. She knew you so much better than 90 percent of your friends and you only met her a couple of months back. Even she knew that you like Kim Taehyung and wanted you to be with him. Could she ever hurt you? Could she ever give you wrong advice?
You knew you had some feelings for the guy. For the way he smiled, his stare, his handsome face, and his amazing and funny personality. Not only that, he was freakishly smart... in a crazy genius kind of a way, a trait that never failed to put you in awe.
For the first time in months did you reflect on how close you'd gotten with the boys, trying to convince yourself that it was for your plan. But now you realized that it was just your brain's way of reassuring yourself and not listening to your heart. You slid your phone out of your purse, the face-lock immediately recognizing you and displaying the contact information of the very boy who had been on your mind.
You'd been contemplating if you wanted to call him after you'd pushed him away. The thought that he could get any girl and might've even tried to get over you by now frustrated the hell out of you, moisture building up in your eyes.
"Just call him..."
You looked over to Jihyun. The movie was paused and she had stopped munching on her popcorn and was looking at you with the most serious expression you'd ever seen on her pretty, cute face.
"He likes you a lot, Elle... Everyone can see it except you.", she sighed as she placed her hand on top of yours and looked you in the eyes. "Just talk to him. Don't let this guy get away from you."
You looked at the confidence and determination in her eyes and found yourself reciprocating the feeling. So what if the plan was to be put in jeopardy? So what if everything wasn't going the way you planned? You got up with a jolt, knocking poor Jihyun to the ground. You took no notice of her whines and complaints as you stormed out the front door, walking all the way to the boy's house with a radiant smile on your face that wouldn't falter because of anything at the moment. You were running, determined to make him yours. Determined to claim what was already yours.
You stopped over at a couple of places on your way before you found yourself standing in front of his apartment where he lived alone. The finger was at the doorbell but you couldn't get yourself to push it.
"It's worth it.", you whispered, smiling as you rang the bell, feeling the adrenaline rush of asking someone out for the first time. Taehyung came out in his pajamas, looking extremely sleepy, ruffling his hair as he looked at you for a second before his eyes widened, staring at the bouquet of flowers and chocolates extended towards him.
"Ella what're you-"
"Kim Taehyung. Would you go out on a date with me?"
