"Those are pretty words, but it is not that simple," I say with a sigh while running my pointer finger and thumb along my temple. "I was lucky to get away tonight to do this. I have a duty to -"
"Yes," Gaia interjects. "I know where your allegiances lie. Your decision set you on another path, which opened up another series of projections and possibilities for the future, but we are still on the right track. However, there is something I have learned." Though draped in more modern clothes, she still moves around the room gracefully with a quiet sense of lethalness in each shift of her muscles.
"What is it?" I ask her, shifting to stand a little taller.
"The white wolf that I showed you...it was not your niece," she answers.
"What do you mean?"
