The chamber was connected to a labyrinth of corridors constructed by woven tree limbs and branches. I roamed my way past several other chambers that were nearly identical to the one I woke in, though each of these were unoccupied. There was naught a soul in sight, and the more I had to pass one of those quiet, vacant doorways my nerves climbed higher.
I wandered my way through the passages for upwards of an hour before I heard the first noises or sign of another soul. And when I did find more of those creatures that I stumbled across in the forest, I quickly learned that it wasn't an accident that brought me to the Bauk. It was a design of fate.
