The fire recedes from where it first started as it pulls from my lips and down my throat. It continues to retreat until it all concentrates on my left arm.
The flame pulses and the pain throbs slower and slower until it stops altogether. But before it leaves me, my heart beats in tune with the thumping of the flame.
I am on the ground now, my eye flutters open and I look at my arm where the feeling still lingers.
A silver light is emitting from the spot on my arm where I can still feel Hades' fire. I watch as the light wanes and seems to seep into my skin, leaving behind a faint silver "U" shape. It's nearly a mirror image to the silver crescent moon scoon from a werewolf bit on the same forearm, some few inches away.
