By cutting my morning exercises short, I find myself with extra energy and time. So rather than heading back to my room where Ryker could still be, I jog to another room that is down a nearby hallway. I had not been here before, but Teo told me previously where I could find her room if I ever needed to find her.
Grateful for her foresight, it doesn't take me too long to find where I need to go. A few short minutes later, I knocked on her door.
She answers the door in a robe but with some makeup on, as though she was in the middle of getting ready.
"Hey, Layla," she says, with slight surprise lining her words at my unexpected and early visit.
"Hey, can I come in for a few?" I ask her.
Without hesitation, she lets me in the room. The bright room hardly registers over the roaring in my head.
"I need your help," I tell Teo, getting right to the point of my visit.
"What do you need?"
