As the room began to heat up because of Mordred's demonic aura, it became clear to Searph and Molly that Mordred was a hybrid. Mordred was furious with what Molly asked because all he could see was Rebecca's death constantly replaying in his mind. The more upset Mordred got, the more power he released. Mordred's halo began to turn from a bright white to a dark purple. He began to lose himself in his own hatred.
Gabriel sensed his demonic power and said "Oh for Christ's sake, this kid."
As Mordred's head was filled with nothing but the death of his best friend, he was somehow able to see the spirit of Rebecca
Mordred and fell unconscious because of all the power he released. He began talking to Rebecca's spirit.
Rebecca asked, " Why so upset Mordred?" Mordred replied, "How am I seeing you? You're dead." Rebecca said, " How rude, is that all you have to say to me after all this time? I see you're in pain. You blame yourself for my death because we loved each other, but there's no need to blame yourself. I never did. I died happily knowing you were safe."
Mordred started to cry and said, "I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I should have been able to protect you. I loved you and I swore to protect you. It should have been me who died, not you."
Rebecca also began to cry, but her tears were not that of sadness but of joy because the person who she loved had survived and she said, "Mordred, I know you did your best to protect me but I'm glad I was the one who perished that day because you are the light for the new world, so you need to stand up and live on, if not for your sake, then do it for mine."
