Chapter - 40: King of Themyscira | Second Mother-Box

--------------

I followed former Queen Hyppolyta, who was now completely subservient to me. And at my command she finally showed me the real reason I had come here and headed for the east-facing wall of my new throne.

After my crushing victory over the Amazons. I had claimed this island as my own and had used my Evil Ki to subjugate most of the women to my will while some others had been locked away in the dungeon for future purposes.

After all, I had promised that I would humiliate them.... But I wasn't going to have an orgy to fuck them all silly....

I was certainly not Zeus or some other Greek deity. I wasn't going to stoop that low, and even if I let my evil Ki influence me, I certainly wasn't controlled.

- Instead of overthinking things, as I usually did. I was letting my emotions run wild on any living being stupid enough to provoke me unnecessarily.

As for the Amazons I was going to use in an experiment, to increase my strength that I should have done a long time ago.

After all, I had realized a lot that I had been relying too much on my Saiyan and Doomsday side and I hadn't really explored my New Gods DNA much, mainly because I didn't know where to start.

And I didn't know what living idea I embodied, although I could come up with some ideas already but nothing really concrete that could help me.

The only thing I knew from the comics was that gods could use their faith to be able to become stronger, and so I was going to use this Island for that purpose and turn it into a cult for me.

- And I was going to see how my New God part would react to that.

Anyway, Hippolyta's hand instinctively traced the stone furrows before suddenly grabbing onto a loose brick and pressing.

The space around the bricks suddenly gave way to a spiral staircase of rough blocks that led to the underground darkness. She grabbed an ancient torch and began to walk.

When we came to a fork at the bottom of the stairs, she headed down the right path and continued to guide me through the myriad of forks and labyrinths that followed.

As we went deeper into the subterranean darkness, the air grew colder and wetter, and the faint sound of dripping water echoed in the narrow passages. The walls were rough and the staircase seemed to lead us into the depths of an ancient underground labyrinth.

Hippolyta's torch cast eerie shadows on the stone walls as she confidently navigated the labyrinth. The twists and turns disoriented us, but she seemed to know exactly where she was going.

From time to time, we passed intricate carvings and faded symbols etched into the rock, hinting at a long-forgotten history of this place that honestly didn't interest me in the least.

Here time lost its meaning as I wandered for what could have been minutes or even hours until, at last, the winding paths ended abruptly for my enjoyment.

Finally, after an eternity of walking, we arrived in front of a large inconspicuous brown wooden door with a rusty steel handle. The air inside was charged with a mysterious energy, and the faint glow of torches illuminated the surrounding space.

"Step aside," I said, and she, like a good pet, obeyed my command without any hesitation.

I took a deep breath and opened the door, and a big smile could not grow on my face as I looked at what was in front of me.

In the center of the room was a single featureless pedestal carved from marble, and at the top was written a piece of a peculiar-looking artifact Universal energy radiated around its surface, transforming the air around it into an icy mist that orbited around it.

Hippolyta approached the artifact reverently, almost as if she were in the presence of something sacred. The artifact appeared to be a small intricate box, with ornamental carvings and precious stones adorning its surface. It emanated a faint otherworldly glow that captivated my senses.

"This is what you sought, my master," said Hyppolita, in a hushed voice of devotion. "The ancient relic my daughter asked me to protect, so that it can do no more harm."

The mother box was calling to me, not in words or speech that could be understood by any other person. But in a way that reached into my very being and told me that it was rightfully mine.

As I approached the box, I felt a tingling in my fingertips, almost as if the artifact responded to my touch. I gently grasped the box with two hands, running my fingers over its surface; as I did so, the room seemed to revive with energy.

But there was an undeniable pull, a sense of destiny, and I knew there was no turning back. With a firm grip, I lifted the artifact from its pedestal.

Hippolyta looked at me with a mixture of respect and anticipation. "You are the chosen one, my master. Only you are worthy to be able to possess this power to rule everything in this universe."

With this object, my cards of being able to win against some cosmic entity went up and it had to be said that it was only the beginning, I would have to find the last mother box wherever it was on the great ocean of the planet in order to be considered strong.

Only then would I be unassailable, only with the full force of the source itself at my disposal, and then I would have no reason to fear anyone else in this universe.

"Cortana, absorb the mother box" I could only say with obvious excitement leaking from my voice.

[As you wish, master]

I could watch as my armor began to turn into a black liquid and absorb the second mother box as I could feel my body being invigorated by new power. "Cortana, mother box state."

I smile, with triumph for getting what I had come for, noting that my power was slowly rising "Finally, things are getting more interesting for me." My hand rested on my armor which gave a completely different atmosphere from before, it also had a bright and cool golden aura.

With the second mother box in my possession, I knew that my journey would only become more difficult but I certainly wasn't scared. I had the power to wield all this cosmic power to be able to improve my strength like never before.

And as we walked back through the labyrinth, I couldn't help but feel a new sense of purpose and confidence flowing through my body, now even the ancient gods were no longer on my level.

"Maybe it's time to try to reach SSJ4?" I could only mutter as my words disappeared into the icy wind.
