Chapter 5 - The Druid's Forest Part 1

A few days have passed since we were at Scam Land, we are now in an seemingly endless forest.

Its turning night, the area is dimly lit by the moon, the stars can be seen clearly, a slight breeze can be felt.

I look at Slade and, say, "We can rest here for the night."

Just as we start to gather wood to start a fire, something feels off and, I look behind me.

There is a sharp piece of wood approaching and, I quickly dodge the projectile, and I start looking for whoever threw it.

Maybe it was a bandit trying to pick us off one by one.

No, why would a bandit attack two heavily armed and, armored people, going for the weak is more their style.

I spot some movement in the trees.

Maybe I can snipe the attacker with my magic blade.

I prepare my blade beam attack, but a sudden stab forces a helpless screech.

I feel as if I could fall to the ground, drenched in a pile of blood, but I stay strong.

It went through my armor, I turn around to see what cut my back.

I felt my body sink into terror as I got a good look at what attacked me.

A bear with red eyes that can pierce the soul.

I am paralyed, my legs can't move.

Slade starts attacking the bear, the battle goes into the forest.

I hear a leap from behind, I turn around and counter the attack.

The attacker smiles and says, "You're fast, this might be tougher than I thought."

He jumps over to a tree, he places his hand on the tree, and pulls out two axes made of wood.

He takes a stance and says, "May the best man win."

I take a stance as well.
