Chapter 16 - Chapter 16. Waiting and Imagination

The food was delicious. She didn't had anything to eat since last night, and now she ate ravenously. Taking the last bite, she felt complete. It was like finding a water after depriving from water for so long. Food has never tasted this good in her life.

During this whole time both Islinda and Roselia didn't utter a word and ate, with silence enveloping them. Their focus solely on their plates and the delicious food.

Roselia took the water jug, which was placed in the middle of the table, filled her glass, she gulped down the whole glass in one go, then she turned to face Islinda, who still continued eating in a slow pace while looking at the door, as if she was expecting someone's arrival.

Even for every now and then, she is taking small and hidden glances at the entrance of the hall, hoping to see someone, as she ate chewed lightly on her food.

Roselia filled her glass again, began to sip slowly as she eyed Islinda, taking a small sip, "Are you waiting for your boyfriend to come and feed you? " She stated sarcastically to Islinda, who didn't avert her gaze from the door from past 5 mins. She sure is waiting to see someone. But, who was that?

It piqued Roselia's curiosity and wants to know who was that person she wants to bump into. Well that was obvious from her behavior. But, the question, who was she waiting for?

Islinda turned to face Roselia, who's face got filled with a hint of curiousness just like gossipers, who are with all ears to know the latest interesting rumours that run around.

Roselia's question made Islinda to pause momentarily, she forgot that she came here with Roselia as she got engrossed to watch the entrance door. However, clearing her muddled mind, she slightly smiled at Roselia.

Roselia instantly understood Islinda's hesitation to reveal the truth, so not wanting to probe further and giving her space, she didn't ask anything anymore. They were still developing their friendship and she doesn't want to make Islinda uncomfortable.

However, Islinda completed her meal in hurry and got up from her seat to place the plate at sink, while Roselia followed behind her closely.

Now, the dining hall was filled with many students, with their laughter and chattering. It was sure brimming with students. Some were reuniting, some were newly meeting, some were judging other people mostly, new people and some were just chilling with the food and something to distract them.

After placing their plates neatly in the sink, both Islinda and Roselia made their way back to the room together.

Roselia thought she could catch a glimpse of the boy who crashed into her earlier or the girl who helped with her luggage. But, that wasn't the case. In the whole hall, she didn't even find someone similar to their shadows.

"That was so disappointing, though", she thought as she made her way out. She don't know why, but she felt a special bond towards those two people. The boy with cold aura was the first person she encountered and Vivian was the first person who helped her and seemed friendsly to her. So, she felt a thing for them and want to know more about them. If possible, she is anticipating a little much too. More than that, they both seemed mysterious and interesting.

Now it seemed even more hard to walk up the stairs right after eating.

" This building was magnificent and enormous. But, why didn't they provide basic facility like lift", she muttered absentmindedly.

Islinda chuckled out loud watching the whining of Roselia. She looked so cute with her sweet baby like voice and a little pout while complaining and her beautiful face did nothing good but to make her look even more cuter than before.

Pulling Roselia's right cheek which she couldn't withstand to not to do, Islinda reminded her, " No 21st century things in HIGH Academy. Did you forgot?.... " She gave a momentarily Pause before adding, "No TV's, no laptops, no computer, no lifts,  and not to mention... No MOBILE PHONES, too,dear...."

Islinda got interrupted in mid-sentence by Roselia

"And No classes... How boring. " She stuck her tongue out mockingly. No school has such rules and here it is, the top school with weird rules. Now Roselia began to wonder who made such strange rules. And, more shocking thing, nobody talks about this outside the school. Not a word like this went by in the City.

Islinda emphasised greatly on the word MOBILE clearly indicating that it was a strict. Simply put, no electronics inside the Academy.

Roselia felt a pang in her heart as Islinda kept on telling the list of forbidden items, she couldn't help but feel her heart drop out of her chest. Man, isn't that too hard to live here. Yet, she got no choice.

Islinda felt amused looking at Rosey's reaction, " I'm sure.. they gonna keep us very busy and don't give enough free time to think about TV or mobile or else... " She looked at Roselia, her perfect features were calm without trace of any emotion, " Or could it be that, you only need the certificate they give you without listening classes.. " She peered carefully at Rosey's face as if what she ridiculed was something she was serious about.

Roselia knew Islinda was playing with her, so she really didn't concern herself to answer her ridiculous question.

Well, the main purpose for her to why she deliberately wanted to study in HIGH academy was, she can get a shelter to stay till she complete high school and could avoid her parents atleast for this four years of schooling. So she studied hard to get in top 100, which will make her eligible for 100 percent scholarship.

Soon both reached their dorms amidst panting. It's sure was hard to ascend stairs right after eating. They should have stayed down for sometime, at least till their stomachs digested the food eaten.

After laying down on the bed, both of them realised that they both had nothing to do after eating. So they decided to give their tired bodies some rest.

However, as soon as Roselia closed her eyes, she herself couldn't believe what popped in her imagination.
