After our arrival in Zhongyang, we spent the next week touring the town. Aurelia and Lia were mostly focused on learning the history and legends of the city and its surrounding area, although it didn't seem like they went together and went instead different directions as they shared what they learned with each other at the end of each day. Wanjing stuck with me as she took me around to all the places to eat in Zhongyang, from fancy restaurants to random food stalls. It only took two days of this before Wanjing said I spending too much money on food, so I stopped my food tour, but not because I was willing to listen to her, rather, I had managed to visit every single place in the city that offers food so there wasn't much point in my excessive eating anymore.
From then on, I put my focus back on to the Big Metal Dragons, more specifically, looking for someone is familiar with those automatons. Naturally, I had Wanjing do all the heavy lifting. She was reluctant at first, but she changed her tune quickly after I said I'd teach her some magic, not that I actually know how to do so but she doesn't need to know that.
With a couple of days of searching, Wanjing brought me some information on a couple of possible people to work with. There's just one problem with them, they seem like trouble, have poor personalities, and seem like they'd sell me out to Shenzhou when given the chance. Might be more than one problem but that isn't important, since today, a messenger from the Treasury came to us, saying that the Scarlet Feather wanted to meet with us. Seems like Yue has finally arrived.
As it was still morning when the messenger arrived, Lia and Aurelia were still with us at the inn so it didn't take long before we set out for the Treasury. As we arrive at the Treasury, Yue who is in her Scarlet Feather outfit, come to bring us up to a private room on the higher floors. Seeing her, I can't help but feel a little envious of her wings. Unlike me, she can retract and fold them like a bird so they are tucked away beneath her long red coat.
Arriving in the private room, Aurelia and Yue both go to soundproof it as we are taking a seat on a circular couch. With the safety of the room in check, Yue takes off her red helmet and says, "this thing is always so stuffy, it's such a pain to wear all the time."
"Then why wear it?" I ask.
"Unlike you, who has no problem with showing their face despite being a wanted criminal, I've got appearances to keep. But with how that wanted posters looks, I don't think anyone is recognising you lot any time soon, I mean, have you seen how ridiculous those portraits are? I'm almost ashamed to think the person who drew them is supposed to be my co-worker."
"Yeah, I've seen them, hmh," I say trying to hold back my laughter, "whoever drew them certainly has an imagination, just what did they say about me to make me like some kind of dinosaur. I'm not sure if I should be glad the artist is a complete moron since no one will recognise us or if I should be sad that my portrait is so weird. Anyway, when did you arrive?"
"Just last night, I finished my inspections sooner than I thought but since it was late when I arrived in Zhongyang, I waited until morning to get in touch. So what have you all been up to?" Yue asks.
"I went and ate from every possible place I can in two days then started to find someone to assist with my Big Metal Dragons."
"I've been visiting the library to read up on the history of the city and its surroundings, so I don't think I've done anything you'll find interesting," Aurelia says.
"Similarly, I've been trying to find old legends and stories, so nothing I believe you would be interested in," Lia says.
"I see, your right that it isn't very interesting to me since I don't care much for Zhongyang's history or legends. But I'm surprised you ate everywhere in just two days, Cordelia. It took me three days to do so when I first came to Zhongyang. I am interested in these Big Metal Dragons of your though, I recall you mentioning them before so I'd like to see it at some point."
"Alright, but I've put that on hold for now. Since your here, can you tell me about this Demigod you wanted to introduce me to? I remember that you said I could learn something from them since her techniques would suit me."
"Yeah, I can't say her name though."
"Why's that? You said before it was because they would know that we were talking about them, but since we will be going to meet with them it should be fine. So what's that problem?" Aurelia asks.
"Part of it is what you just mentioned, but it's mostly because I don't know how to pronounce her name. Her name is completely foreign to me, even with the natural language assistance of Shengdi."
"I'm significantly more interested in meeting this Demigod now, what are they like? You've been referring to them as her, so I assume this Demigod is female, what does she look like? What are her sizes?" Aurelia asks as we all look at her with a face that says, 'what the hell are you asking'.
"I can share what I know, but why do you expect me to have her sizes?"
"Well since I can't read your mind for some reason I thought I'd just ask."
"I think I'll just ignore that. This will take a while, so I'll start with the basic infomation.
