"Hm, why would you assume that I can't speak?" The mysterious person questioned calmly, their voice strange and almost obscure. "Although I am not familiar with your language, it is recorded in our files. And with how simple it is, it was not a problem to spend a few minutes learning it."
While this person spoke casually, Kayla observed calmly despite her racing thoughts. The person's body looked like that of a human. However, Kayla was unable to distinguish their age or gender as a thin layer of dark mist seemingly danced around them, concealing their identity. Not to mention that their voice did not make it any easier as it was neither that of a male nor that of a female.
It was rather unclear whether the mist was a part of their body or whether the person was simply using it to hide their identity.
