I finish my weapon in record time, I look over and Ruby is still tinkering. I look at the distortion, we have about four or five hours left. So I took my new weapon on a test drive, I start to shoot at some looters, about an hour later, I hear a cough. I look behind me and Sirius was there with a strict look. "Uncle Sirius, what's with the serious look?" I asked with an amused tone. He just sighed. "It wasn't funny the first time, it's not funny now." He said, shaking his head in exasperation.
I just shrug. "So what are you doing here?" I asked looking at him. "Well I was helping the ministry, when a strange thing happened." He said, stopping to look from me to Ruby. "A burst of red petals flew passed me, and when I heard Dumbledore saw the same thing, I put two and two together." He said, looking at us with a mix of pride and annoyance. "I don't know what you mean." I said shrugging and looking away.
"Then how are you and Ruby in London?" He asked with a hint of triumph. "We walked." I said dismissively. Just as he was about to retort, a cracking sound could be heard. "Ruby in position, Sirius go back Ruby up." I said walking to the centre, I point my new weapon and start aiming. And then we heard the shattering sound, and nothing. I look around, and still find nothing.
"What's going on, where is the thing that broke through." I asked to no one, still searching. The distortion starts to dissipate, once it's gone there is nothing. "Keep your guard up, it might just be hiding somewhere." I say, walking towards the spot of the former distortion. There is nothing , I can't sense anything ether. "Maybe the reason it took so long to shatter, is because there was nothing to shatter it?" Ruby theorised, looking around at the empty square.
"Uncle Sirius, how long has that big one been here?" I asked, thinking the same as Ruby. "The same time as the rest, nearly two days." He said with a worried expression. "Keep looking for now, if there was something it can't escape the traps." I said, while looking around. I decide to use my Eyes of Truth, and look around. Even with the skill active, I can't find anything. After two hours, we decided it was enough.
"So there are some distortions with nothing, that's a good and bad thing." I say, thinking about how annoying it will be. "Well at least it wasn't another Trihexa." Ruby said in a comforting voice. "We still had to wait for twenty-four hours, but yes at least it wasn't that." I said, placing my arm around Ruby. "So are you two going to tell me how you got to London?" Sirius asked, looking between me and Ruby. "I told you, we walked." I said, leaning my head on Ruby.
"You can't walk from Hogwarts to London in an hour." He said determined to get the truth. "It was a very brisk walk." I said stubbornly, while Ruby started to laugh. "Ruby, how did you and Scarlet get to London?" He asked Ruby now. "Well you've seen how fast I am, so is it really much of a stretch to think me and Scarlet could get to London quick?" Ruby said answering with a question. "*sigh* I really don't know how to deal with you two." He said defeated.
"Oh ok, come here and I'll show you." I said, just wanting to go home. When Sirius was near enough, I started up the teleportation circle. The next second, we were outside our house. "How did you do that?" He asked shocked. "Magic." I said with a smile. He just shook his head, and walk into the house. "I think you might have broke him." Ruby said with a bit of a smile. I look at Sirius' back and sighed. "I'll let you explain to him, I'm feeling tired." I said as I head to our room.
I opened the door, and just collapsed on the bed. I fell straight to sleep, as soon as my head hit the pillow.
