After taking a few seconds to think over his decision Keyton had decided to put his trust in the group that had come out of the small craft and return the metallic cylindrical container to them. As he walked over to the tree they were hiding in he had to admit to himself that they chose a god hiding spot since they were well hidden by the branches and leaves of the tree and by the fact that most people did not usually think much about how 3-Dimensional the landscape was. When he got to the tree that the group was hiding in he knocked on the tree and looked up.
As the Sub-Commander heard a sound coming from the base of the tree she looked down only to find the figure from before holding the container that contained Xiragon up in the air towards her, she did not know how this person had found their hiding spot but the fact that they appeared to give Xiragon back to them at least proved that this person did not consider them their enemy at the moment. The Sub-Commander climbed down as quickly as she could and accepted the container before this person could change their mind and take away the hope that had been given back to them. As she had taken the container she could see that the figure was a male that appeared to be mature although since she did not know anything about the culture of the planet so she could not be sure, she tried to look as grateful and thankful as possible under the circumstances then climbed back up the tree only hoping that she had not offended the person in some weird way.
After Keyton had returned the container to the group he decided to walk back to the small craft and wait for whatever service responded to the crash of the small craft, as the first person on the scene he was likely to get bombarded with a whole series of questions, but he had decided to just roll with whatever they asked and depending on what the question was would determine if he would answer it truthfully but he had to treat each question differently like a different case as their were somethings that he wanted to be honest about such as the events that led up to him finding the small craft but he had decided that since he had put his trust in the group that had emerged from the small craft and that since they had decided to hide themselves he would not reveal them to whoever came to the scene.
After about a minute Keyton could see that all the emergency services, Police, Firefighters and Paramedics alike were all approaching the scene of the crash. The Police secured the scene, the firefighters took care of the damage and the paramedics made sure that no one was injured. An officer came over to take his statement while a paramedic was checking him over for injuries.
"Hello Sir" the officer said to Keyton.
"Hello officer" Keyton replied.
"I have a few questions for you if you don't mind."
"I thought you might, ask away."
After about half an hour the officer appeared to be wrapping up with the questions.
"So you saw the craft crash-land nearby, came to see what happened and when you got here you saw that hatch open, hid behind a tree and when you looked back you just saw that the hatch was open" the officer said summarizing Keyton's statement.
"That's right" Keyton replied.
"Are you sure you are not forgetting anything?"
Keyton picked up on an undertone that told him that the officer had some doubts about his story.
"That is what happened officer and if you think I am lying then you are welcome to search me" Keyton said while maintaining a calm tone.
The officer was a little shocked by his response but then realized that their doubts about his story were not as well hidden as they had originally thought.
"Empty your pockets and stand with your hands on that tree" the officer said taking Keyton up on his offer.
Keyton took out his keys, wallet, phone, charging cable, power-cube, battery-pack and a few Kleenexes. As he was doing so the officer's eyes kept growing wider and wider with every new item he pulled out of his pockets.
"How are you able to fit all that in there" the officer asked.
"Its just a skill that I have" Keyton replied.
The officer gave Keyton an unusual look before proceeding with the pat down and ultimately not finding anything on him. With his statement taken and the pat down completed the officer had nothing left to hold him on so Keyton was let go. Another officer then walked over to the first officer.
"Want me to follow him" the second officer asked.
"Yes please" the first officer replied.
Keyton had decided to take a little known about side trail to get home to avoid the Media and all of their questions which he might regret answering.
After watching everything from the vantage point of the trees the Sub-Commander and the medical team all looked at each other, even though their universal translators had not yet fully translated the native language they understood enough to tell that Keyton had not told anyone about them and when they looked around at the scene below them they all thought that they probably did not want to be taken into custody by the emergency respondents considering how they were handling the scene. The Sub-Commander then turned to face the medical team.
"Who thinks that one should be Xiragon's next host" the Sub-Commander quietly said to the medical team while pointing to Keyton.
After thinking about it for a few seconds the medical team all nodded in agreement.
"Alright, after all this commotion has died down we will track him and proceed as necessary" the Sub-Commander quietly told the medical team.
"We should also be careful of that other one" one of the medical team members whispered while pointing to the officer following Keyton.
Since Keyton had touched the container currently housing Xiragon, they had a genetic sample they could use to track him but it would be difficult to do while trying to avoid being noticed by anyone else.
