"Sylvie. Sylvie dear, wake up. I f you sleep for any longer you won't be able to sleep at night."
I groaned, this voice sounded like Sister. Her head in the hands of that woman flashes before my eyes, Sister died and so did I. Does that mean I'm in heaven now?
"Sylvie dear, if you don't wake up I'll make Niall take away your allowance for a month. That includes dessert." Sister warned.
Brother? Did Brother also die? I immediately opened my eyes, only to be blinded by the sun peeking through the leaves. "Hiss hurts."
"Well, that is to be expected."
Once my eyes adjusted to the light I noticed that my head was now on Sister's lap, and she was petting my hair. I looked at her. Her blue eyes were slightly curved at the corners as she smiled teasingly, while I continued to look. Her Mahogany hair was curled and wet at the tips like it always was when she recently took a shower and her skin looked flushed and golden with the sun. When she died her skin had split cracking open and her arms were blood-soaked, while her hair was a dirty brown matted and heavy with the stuff, but her eyes were clear and beautiful even more than now.
Tears sprung to my eyes as I recalled the way the blade sliced through her neck with barely any resistance. Sister's eyes widened and she slightly tensed as I jumped up and wrapped my hands around her neck and cried into her neck. She smelt like chocolate liquor as I buried my head and breathing in her familiar scent as much as I could. Sister's hands wrapped around me as she continued to stroke my head.
"Sylvie dear you had a nightmare didn't you, what was it to upset you so much hm~?" She asked. Since my face was in her neck when she talked her throat vibrated and seemed to make her voice seem muffled. I nodded my head, it was a horrible nightmare I never wanted to relive again. "Want to tell me about it. Big Sister could help."
I shook my head, how could I explain it. How could I say that she was killed by someone posing to be Brother and that she cursed Brother not knowing that it wasn't him?
"Hmm, is that so?" Sister mused, I nodded my head not letting go of her. "Well then, let's go inside and wash your face Niall is coming later tonight maybe you can tell both of us at that time." With that Sister's called the Head Butler to help her stand and she stood up carrying me.
"Young Madame allow me to carry the young miss." The Butler said.
I raised my head, "Sister, I'm too heavy I can walk."
Sister looked at me, "Nonsense, with your puffy eyes and dripping nose you still have the cheek to claim that you're fine? Let alone the fact that you're suffocating me and most probably stained my collar." she chided. "Now be a good girl and don't fuss."
She carried me to my room and left me in the arms of my nanny, kissing my forehead, before she left to finish her work.
Exhausted and in a daze, my swollen eyes made it difficult for me to keep them open. After my nanny changed me out of my outerwear and placed a cool towel with chamomile on my eyes, I fell asleep.
**********
"Daemyn."
"Yes Young Madame." replied the Head Butler, bowing towards her as she drank her tea at her desk.
"Is Sylvie asleep."
"Replying to Madame, young Miss. Sylvie is asleep and I placed a Dream Orb above her head."
"Good job. Send a letter to Niall that we're lacking curaçao, chocolate oranges only ever go well with curaçao. Tell him that in the letter just in case."
"Understood Young Madame."
She leaned back on her chair with a slight smile, and with the summer sunset shining in the room, her hair looked Scarlett as shadows were cast on her right. Looking like a content deviless.
