Chapter 2 - The Final Day 1

Friday, September 13th.

Where am I?

I looked around and saw that I was in my room.

What happened?

Was that a dream?

It couldn't have been, the pain felt too real. I touched my neck... there was nothing gone. It felt all normal. Maybe it was just a super realistic dream? I don't know anymore.

I checked my phone for the time. It was 8:41 AM. It seemed everything was okay. My plan won't be ruined by some weird dream.

I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a shower. I was still thinking about that dream. What was that? That ... thing's voice was so horrible. What was it talking about? Something about being too early? Well it didn't matter it was just a dream anyways.

I got dressed in some black sweats and a peach colored hoodie. I have been going on a morning jog for the past year or so after I moved to this new apartment. It was closer to my father's and my sisters house.

My sister had gotten married a year or so earlier. I would never have heard of it, if not for me tracking her online. Her husband also liked going on jogs during the morning. I had run into him a few times, and we hit it off. We became pretty good friends.

A few days ago, when we ran into each other, I told him I wanted to show him something that I had finally finished collecting after years. I told him, I wanted to show off to my friends and that he should come by a storage room I had rented in 2 days time.

We met up near the storage space and I told him to wait outside for a second to clean up. I went inside and got the metal bat ready to strike. I waited a minute to make the progression seem natural. I went to near the door and told him to come in. He opened the door and walked in.

I struck him on the head and he was knocked out. I tied him up to a chair and blindfolded him.

His phone was in his pocket and to make my sister not worry about what was going on, I decided to text her that he wouldn't be coming back for a day because he was going to an auction to buy something with me. Well at least the alias that he knew me by. She seemed okay with it as he usually hung out with his friends for a day or two whenever he met them for the first time in a while.

And today, today I would ruin her life. Oh how it would feel... to see the the life drain out of her eyes. I felt ecstatic just thinking about it.

I arrived at the storage room. "Hey there, Mike. You up yet, Mikey?"

"ALBERT YOU CREEP. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME! WHY AM I TIED UP! I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!" Mike screeched.

"Oooh Mikey, don't be screaming. It's quite rude to be screaming indoors so inside voices only please," I replied. "You want some water buddy?"

"I DON'T NEED YOUR POISONED WATER!" He wailed.

I walked up to him and punched him in the gut and put my mouth near his ear and whispered, "Mikey... remember what I said. Don't be rude. Indoor voices only. And the water is not poisoned. You're not going to die until Helen comes here."

"WHY WOULD HELEN COME HERE. WHAT ARE YOU PLANNI-" I socked his face.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP DUMBASS. I SAID BE QUIET. IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP I'M GOING TO HAVE TO HURT YOU MORE THAN I HAVE TO." I howled into his face.

I then stepped back took a deep breath... "Calm down Erwin.. deep breaths... 1... 2... 3..." I said to myself.

"Erwin? I thought your name was Albert? Wait... Erwin? Helen's younger brother? Is that what it's all about? It wasn't my idea. Helen was the one who thought of it. She didn't want to deal with your family's problems anymore. Don't kill me please." He pleaded.

"How pitiful... selling out your wife like that. I was even thinking of letting you go... how sad." I lied with a smile on my face, not that he would be able to see.

"Anyways, Helen should be here in a few minutes... I texted her pretending to be you before I left the house. Don't worry she doesn't know anything about you being in danger or what she's getting herself into. Kahahahahahaha... She just thinks you've won something big at an auction house." I informed him as I started prepping for Helen to arrive.

I put on the sillicon mask that was so that Helen has no chance of figuring out who I was until the perfect moment.

"Kahahahahahaha" I suddenly burst into laughter. Just thinking about what was going to happen makes me so giddy. I feel joy from the bottom of my heart.

"You fucking sicko." Mike muttered.

"Me? A sicko? I think not. I am justice. This is justice for what happened to Mother. Not that you or Helen would know anything about that." I retorted.

I looked at the through the monitors to see what the security cameras up front were picking up.

"Looks like the fun is about to begin, Mikey. Let us both enjoy these next few moments with an smile on our faces. Don't worry your blindfold will be taken off in due time. For the meanwhile... I will have to make sure you are quiet."

I took out a gag and covered his mouth.

"Time to enjoy this show." I licked my lips.
