Closing the stable door, she waved goodbye to Harry.
"Now that was fun, wasn't it." She laughed, taking in a breath of fresh air.
Walking ahead, she expected the Princes to follow her to which they did.
"Fun is sorta an understatement, don't you think so Daven?" William raised a brow to his counterpart.
"That was definitely no fun, especially for me. I was in hell's way." He shivered at the reply of the past action in his head.
"Like I said, I deeply apologize for what happened earlier, I'd be sure to check my facts right before making assumptions." She batted her lashes.
No one could stay mad at that face, that which Mae knew too well, Prince William and Daven being no exception.
"I accept your apology, but I would need to head down to my Chambers." Daven smiled, picking out some of the grasses which had been caught by his shirt earlier in the open field.
"I need to get all the past in the past, which includes these clothes and my smell." He itched, walking in the direction of his Chambers the very minute he caught sight of an easy access towards there.
Good thing he took directions well, he had seen some of the servants take that route and frankly the fastest was the best option for him at the moment.
'Yes!' Mae internally screamed in joy at having gotten rid of one of the Princes, now her attention was to also get William to leave somehow.
"That's totally fine." She patted Daven's shoulder, "There are more days ahead."
With one final bow, he walked away.
"So..." She turned to face William who stood there like he was thinking about something.
"So what?" He challenged, combing back his hair.
"I uh... need to get going and can't continue the tour for today. Besides with one of you two gone for the time being, it wouldn't be fair to go on without the other." She tried to find some sort of excuse.
"We seemed to be doing fine when we were two on the tour, might I remind you, we were meant to be three. So is it safe to assume you would be giving him a special detour once he's present?" He folded his arms.
Mae was left dumbfounded at how calculative his words were, she had clearly forgotten about the third Prince before she came up with her excuse.
"Well I need to meet with our royal sorcerer, so I deem it fit to make good use of the opportunity." She held her ground.
"Royal sorcerer?" He repeated mainly to himself, rubbing his chin in thought.
Mae couldn't understand why William didn't want to leave, was he planning on following her there? Well she certainly couldn't allow that.
"I had always wanted to know who the royal sorcerer of Garcia is, he isn't some sort of old man with a very long beard." He teased, pulling on his imaginary long beard for added effect.
This gesture didn't go without Mae breaking into a laughter, for the first time she had genuinely laughed around someone of her royal status and age bracket.
"I would have loved to show you around, but that would be for another day." She smiled.
"Mmmmm." She hummed, thinking of a proper time to make her promise a reality.
"How about tomorrow? Lance should be present for the tour by then." William suggested with the snap of his finger.
"That's a great plan." Mae nodded in agreement, "Remember, there are lots of things that could catch one's fancy right here in the Castle, try the food for example; you are going to love it." She cajoled.
"I guess I could do those now." William said with a smile.
He had wanted to try out Garcia's delicacy, there was no denying the Kingdom was a beautiful place to be in. He couldn't deny the fact that it lived up to it's name of being the heart of the four Kingdoms when they were merged.
"I'll be going then." He replied nervously. "Don't forget your promise."
"I won't." She smiled, slowly walking backwards until she was sure he was out of plain sight.
–––––––––––
"Elvis." She called, knocking on his door in urgency.
Opening the door, Elvis poked his head out to ascertain who called his name. "Ah! Cutie Mae." He said fondly.
Pushing in, she made her way in, clearly not fond of his pet name of her. "It's a sunny day, I hope we can keep it bright?"
"What brings you here?" Elvis conjured her couch from earlier, nodding in the direction of it.
"Thankyou." She appreciated his thoughtful gesture, comfortably resting her back on it. "It's a big issue I have been meaning to discuss with you, but I had been caught up in the stupid–I mean lovely arrival of the Princes, well atleast not all of them yet." She shook her head at how complex that sounded.
"So tell me, what is so important that you had to come by here?" He sat on his chair, his leg crossed over the other.
"Was I ever born different?" She decided to start small as she always does when trying to explain something.
"Well you are royalty so that is a testament to your birth being far from ordinary." Elvis laughed.
Even though he was right, his answer only aggravated her frustration, which in turn shook the windows in his tower.
"I'm sorry, it's just that I feel agitated when I think I can't seem to understand myself anymore." She sighed, closing her eyes.
Finally realising to what extent he meant, he sighed, "I had not wanted to believe what I'm about to tell you, thinking there might just be another justification for what happened, but there is something that I haven't told you."
Finally, Mae got up, she suddenly felt excited at having to get a different perspective of what her father must have told her. Elvis must definitely know something about this.
'Okay, here goes.' Elvis mentally prepared himself for what he had to say.
