Bidding farewell to Skun, she walked out the passageway from which she had entered, walking down the hallways, the first thing on her agenda is to know how Elvis knew about Skun and why did he keep Skun a secret?
The second Bell bong sound could be heard which caused Mae sprinting down the Castle hall. Carefully she examined her surroundings, she had to make her presence known, her parents would lose it if the third Bell bong sound was heard and she was no where in sight, this could prompt them to declare her missing.
Before her parents could be given the freedom to deploy a search party after her, she waved with a "hello" to everyone who she came across.
She hoped with everyone knowing where she was headed, the news was sure to reach her parents. She would have enough time to speak to Elvis without any distractions.
Pushing the door slightly, she examined his tower, "Hello, could I come in?" She called out timidly as she curtseyed.
Elvis was not prepared for the interruption as some of the potions he was mixing slipped from his hands dropping the whole bottle into the bowl causing a miniature explosion, with quick reflexes, he dodged before it's flames could reach his face or so he thought.
"Who would interrupt my work hours?!" He turned clearly frustrated.
"Umm, it's me?" Mae couldn't help but gaze at the weird hairdo he had, it was a multi colored mohawk, it reminded her of the poking scales on the back of Skun.
"Ah!" Elvis gasped upon sighting her poking head, "do come in, you already are in anyways." He called out to her.
Stepping in, Mae locked the door behind her, her mouth full of air to which she had fervently tried to suppress her laughter at the sight before her.
"What's wrong with your face?" Elvis narrowed his eyes in suspicion, coming closer to her causing her to burst out in the withheld laughter.
After a moment of letting it out, she hiccuped to a stop, holding her chest she tried to calm herself down before continuing. "You-you got something on your head there." She pointed, using the other hand to tightly hold her lips to prevent another outburst of laughter.
"Aw, not again! I thought I dodged that." He touched his head.
Mae inhaled and exhaled before she could reply, "Clearly you didn't dear Elvis." She said in a mocking remark.
Ignoring her obvious method to get him to indulge in one of her mischievous banters, he decided to fix the underlying problem first. "It'll even out in a few minutes." He replied.
"What brings our cute little princess here?" He bent over, looking down on her.
"I am thirteen you know right? Not some eight years old, all my baby fat on my cheeks are almost gone anyways." She pouted, unintentionally puffing her cheeks more while folding her arms.
"Oh alright, Your Highness, what brings you to my domain?" He wiggled his brows in a taunting manner, snapping his fingers; a chair swooped Mae off her feet and onto it.
"I never said I wanted to have a seat, nor did I say you should let your seat bully me." Mae squirmed in protest, her legs kicking in the air since she couldn't get it to the ground.
"On behalf of the chair, I do humbly apologize Your Highness for your legs being too short to get to the ground." He made an overly dramatic bow.
"Hmphh!" Mae scoffed, turning her head to the side, then the main reason she had walked in dawned on her and her mood went serious. "I want to ask you something–" she paused to look around pulling him downwards by the hand, now he was in her line of sight, her confidence restored.
Playing along, Elvis whispered: "I'm listening dear Princess."
"By any chance do you know of any dragon in the castle?" She whispered back, testing the waters and gauging his facial expressions.
"No way! Where?" He must have taken her words as a joke as he clearly didn't get her question, he had imagined she had heard fairytales and was acting upon it, confident she couldn't be referring to the same dragon he knew.
She sweatdropped, frowning at his words, "I am not kidding!"
"But I don't know of any sort of thing like that, are they real?" Few drops of sweat formed on his forehead and the grin he gave was a little off.
"You're seriously keeping up with your charade?" Milana questioned, hitting him to the best of her little ability.
"Ouch! Your punches are getting stronger." Elvis feigned being hurt, rubbing his arm.
"Then how would you explain you knowing Skun?" She countered, staring right into his widened eyes.
There it was the expression she had been waiting for, now he couldn't escape the reality.
"H– How did you know Skun?" He asked through quivering lips.
These words echoed in his head. 'How did she know about him? How did she know his name?
Contemplating the best option to go with he paused, thinking again 'I could tell her and a burden I've been carrying for all these years could be lightened!' He nodded his head to this first reasoning.
'Or I could zap her! Making her forget this conversation ever happened' he laughed at his crude thinking ,shaking his head along with the thought, settling for the first.
"What's so funny?!" She asked observing his sudden outburst of laughter after giving her question a long thought.
"What do you want to know then?" He decided he could not escape her prying insistence but he could withhold some information for the time being.
"All you can tell me," she kicked her feet while sitting, resting her face on her clasped fingers, "go on." She batted her lashes.
"Well Princess..." he took another chair sitting at the far end as he felt he could only tell the tale if he faced the wall and not her. He picked his words carefully, making sure they fitted into he and Skun's planned response.
–––––––––––
"That's exactly what Skun said, well apart from your different perspectives." She marveled.
"...but I do warn you–" he continued, "do not tell anyone about Skun or he might be in danger, not even His and Her Majesty." He concluded.
" But why?" She whined, "they could be of help."
Elvis could only shale his bead, standing true to his claim not to divulge more than was necessary.
"But what I don't understand; why was Skun chained under our Castle? " She looked up at him with curious blue eyes.
"I'm sorry princess but that's a story for another day " He said.
