Half an hour passed since Eric made a mess. The floor was cleaned and his clothes were fixed, except for his ruined briefs. He was looking and observing the group and water boilers, trying to find out if there were any issues with them before turning them on. He tested the pipes for sturdiness, and that was about it; he knew nothing about water boilers other than how important it is that the pilot light is still lit. Nothing seems wrong, but he wouldn't know unless he turned everything on.
[Who knows, maybe we'll be lucky and nothing will be wrong like the electricity?]
Eric shrugged his shoulders and walked away, nearing his sister. Off to the side was Ann, just fiddling with her finger nails. She looked up at him, her eyes seems to shine.
"Done already? Is it gonna work? It's not gonna blow up right? I'll shove a fucking gray skin's cock down your throat if anything goes wrong."
Eric backs up to the metal cylinders, scared and unsure if she was serious. She chuckles as he chickens out, turning around and moving towards the stairs out, he was safe for now at least.
They walked into the apartment lobby, finally getting a good view of its dilapidated grandeur. They cold white marble columns spoke of their age; scratches and possibly bullet holes marked every single column in the large lit up lobby. Even though the sun is up, all the windows were boarded up and the remaining heavy curtains blocked out most of the sunlight.
"Would've made a nice quaint gray skin next, wouldn't it?" Ann asked hypothetically. They both knew that zombies were very active when there was no sunlight, they could chase a car for miles and still be fine, even climbing up skyscrapers would be an easy feat. whoever lived or managed this building was truly a genius, everything was built to last and they saw some solar panels on the roof yesterday. After the clear a few more places like the garages and parking lot in the lower basement, this would make a perfect base.
With a wide happy grin, Ann kicked Eric's sore ass and pointed outside. Eric was to go around the apartment building and make sure there were no issues like huge cracks or holes anywhere that would lead to huge issues, even though they did a quick check yesterday.
Ann would be looking for the superintendent's room or apartment, looking for anything from keys to equipment leftover. As the poor boy walked outside with his knives, Ann pulled out her own knife and hummed another discordant tune as she hopped and skipped around the interior.

Outside in the blazing sun, Eric was swearing to himself; he forgot to refill his water canteen and he has about two mouthfuls left. He grunted and kicked a nearby innocent pebble, knocking it into the street filled with rubble and empty cars. Though he and Ann, mostly Ann, had cleared the street enough for a van to pass through, it was a mess.
Clearing his thoughts, Eric steeled his nerves and walked close to the apartment building with his knives ready. He didn't want to use his pistol since it's not equipped with a silencer. Even if the zombies are nearly inactive with daylight out, he didn't want to risk pulling a few slow stragglers towards this possible safe base.
He walked and observed the brick building, everything seems fine except for a few small cracks here and there. Nothing quick-dry cement wouldn't fix, if they had some. The building was definitely pretty big, bigger than they needed, but Beth had wanted to start big first so they would have spare emergency rooms or storage in case something happens.
Half and hour later and Eric was still walking alongside the apartment building, it was definitely because it was a large building and not because he was extremely cautious and observant. He noticed nothing too dangerous or would cause issues later on if they moved in. He even noted a few other apartment buildings a few blocks away and a few possible stores and restaurants they could hope to scavenge something. He wasn't too optimistic, but they've been lucky so far with food, weapons, ammunition, and other supplies.

Ann was still inside, sitting on a very old and expensive lazy-boy chair. Her legs were lifted and her back was lowered, she was taking a light nap in the superintendent's office she had found. Unfortunately, it was stripped bare and looted down to the bare walls and a broken lazy-boy that was nailed to the floor.
Despite taking a nap, her senses were still on full alert, ready for any hooligans that might've walked into this apartment they had mostly cleared out. Her right hand was gripping her knife and in her left hand is a torn up hand drawn map. The uncovered map showed a small area highlighted in green and lines representing streets and roads. There were orange and red squares and rectangles, possibly representing buildings or something.
She snored loudly, waking herself from her nap. Stretching her limber arms and legs, she got off the old thing and looked around the empty room, nothing she could do or find.
[Maybe that runt can use his luck to find something here? He is our lady luck...if lady luck had a penis.]
She chuckled at her own joke as she left the room and walked back to the lobby, waiting for Eric to come back and report any findings. A little bit bored, and maybe a bit horny, she took out her beauty and sniffed the barrel. She didn't know why, but years of training Eric's ass has made her pretty attracted to the smell of his ass and sweat. She love the way he squeals and moans like a girl whenever she pokes and massages his ass, particularly his sensitive prostate. She licked her lips seductively, remembering the first time she sat on his face and fingered his tight virgin asshole, how much he moaned when she found his g-spot for the first time, and how much he came when she showed no mercy too his sweet little ass. She had a urge to bend him over and start slapping his oddly feminine hips and make him cum over and over with her fingers. She wants to make him get on his knees and beg, beg like the little pet he is and cum for her whenever she says. A perverted grin spread on her face as she drooled about such dirty thoughts and ideas.
