( Yuuki's POV )
Since early when I left the MBI building I could hear the ambient sounds of construction in the camp, our people felt safe behind the walls that I had created and now that they were helping to expand this place more and more people began to see this place as their new home and not as a temporary refuge, which was exactly my intention, this was their home and we all had to protect it.
I went to the hospital to visit the Ogata family who was going to be discharged today, before reaching their room we met in the corridors when they were leaving, I wave at them, and when they saw me the old Ogata power walked towards me and he made the best bow he could.
Ogata: thank you! thank you so much for rescuing my daughter!
Rizu, like her father, bowed a little and that made me feel a little uncomfortable, I prefer when people act casual with me.
Yuuki: well that's what we do here, I promised that I would bring her back and that's what I did, don't worry about it.
The old man Ogata raised his head and he stared at me with his eyes full of determination.
Ogata: I cannot do that, despite what I did, you healed me and returned my daughter safe and sound, this is a debt that I must pay tenfold.
It was obvious that he was not going to back down on the matter and he was willing to do anything I asked him, which his daughter noticed and seemed somewhat scared that he would do something dangerous but she had nothing to worry about.
I already had something in mind that he could do and it seems that I didn't have to do any convincing.
Yuuki: hey If my family were in danger I would also do everything in my power to save them, no one on our side got hurt and you have your daughter back, all's well that ends well, right?
Some of the girls we saved weren't that lucky because we couldn't get there sooner, but at least they're alive, they'll have all time in the world to heal.
Yuuki: That being said, I do have something you could help with in here.

I took old Ogata and Rizu to the shopping district under construction, I wanted them to open one of the first restaurants in the camp, to which he was delighted.
After explaining that they should talk to Ana about anything they need, I went back to the MBI building because Shizuka was calling for me, It seems that her friend Rika wanted to talk to me about something important, when I entered the lobby I saw the two of them, Shizuka was her usual cheerful self and she ran towards me when she saw me but her friend was more serious.
Yuuki: so what do you want to talk about?
Shizuka and I sat on a sofa across from Rika, who stared at me for a moment before starting to speak.
Rika: Tell me, are you really the leader of this camp?
Shizuka: that's right~ Yuuki is very important here.
Yuuki: Well, I'm one of the leaders, but technically I'm the one with the most power here.
Honestly, Ana is the one who supervises everything that happens in the camp but she insists that she is my secretary and she always passes all the decisions through me first, she must have her reasons so I don't think much of it.
I can only imagine that Shizuka told her friend about me when they talk but surely she thought a lot of it was an exaggeration that's why she started questioning me about what I had done since the apocalypse started, what happened at the airport and the technology we had, I answered all her questions but I omitted some information which Shizuka noticed but she didn't say anything she just squeezed my hand.
Although Rika was Shizuka's friend, she was part of the army and right now the army is broken, I don't know what condition they are in but it is very likely that we cannot trust them, when she finished asking questions it was my turn to question her.
Yuuki: Now what do you plan to do with all that information? Your partner should be cured by now, is that why you suddenly want to interrogate me?
Rika: Yes... He said that we should contact our superiors and he asked me to take care of it because we are on good terms.
Yuuki: I see, and why haven't you already done it?
Rika: Because I think that's a mistake and the truth is that if the world is in as messed up a condition as you say, I'd rather stay close to Shizuka than return to the army.
I didn't detect any lies from Rika and I began to think about my next move, Rika's partner intends to meet with his superiors but letting him communicate with them will only end in disaster, Throwing him out of the camp would be almost like killing him and if he's lucky and he manages to meet up with other soldiers that'll probably cause us trouble too.
Yuuki: Well, then let's take that guy to his base ourselves.
Rika: eh?
Going to the military base ourselves has its own set of problems but if we make first contact I will know who is in charge and I can predict what he/she will do next.
Yuuki: You at least want to see the condition of that base, right? I will also go just to speak clearly.
Rika: ...ok.

We took Rika's Jeep to escort them to the military base which, like our camp, was a bit outside the city, only a few hours' drive away, Shizuka, Akitsu, and Kaie were with me, although I only wanted to talk to the leader of the base I let four Wanzers follow us without Rika's partner noticing.
Before reaching the military base we passed a crude barrier of cars lined up with a few zombies banging their heads against it.
I dealt with them in seconds and we continued on our way but as we got closer a bad feeling started to grow in the back of my head, but well, from the beginning I didn't think we were going to have a good relationship with the military.
