Chereads / *Dotting Eyes* / Chapter 15 - {Chapter 15}

Chapter 15 - {Chapter 15}

My breath catches as he turns.

"Hi, lovie."

He says softly, his eyes settling on my shoulder.

"Hi."

I say quietly, tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear.

He's brooding.

And looking sexy as hell.

My eyes can't help but scan his body.

Jesus Christ.

I can see him muscles through his shirt.

"What's with the tight shirt, model? Jesus, we're going on a vacation, not to a shoot."

Ruby shuffles by snickering.

His cheeks turn a lovely shade of red.

"Leave him alone, baby girl. I let him borrow one of my shirts to save time. We were about to be late."

Brandon says, rolling his eyes.

"That shirt is tight."

Jenny coughs,  patting his arm.

"It's a breathable fabric. I like it."

Quincy is grumbling as Brandon grabs my suitcase.

"You look very handsome in it, honey."

I say absentmindedly, checking my watch.

"Are you kidding? His nips are showing. Let's hurry up and leave, the teenage girls will come running out any minute."

Ruby says, turning back to the apartment building.

I refrain from scowling.

"Get in the car, sweetie. Nobody needs to see how much of a man you are."

I mutter, opening the door for him.

His cheeks get even redder.

"Stop it."

He growls, getting in reluctantly.

Brandon wiggles his eyebrows.

I roll my eyes.

"How was time with the boys?"

I ask softly as I slide in next to him.

"Much needed. Derek is a pretty funny guy."

He grins a little.

I can't help but grin too.

He's such a cutie pie.

Plus his ears twitch a little when he smiles too big.

"Hmm."

I hum, my fingers itching to feel on his muscles.

He sends me a knowing smirk.

"Go ahead, you can feel. Just don't go too crazy, we have company."

He teases, raising his arm a little.

"Damn right you do."

Derek says from the driver's seat.

"Both of you shut up."

I mutter, slowly pressing my palm against his bicep.

His muscles feel amazing under the silk fabric.

"Dont terrorize my new boyfriend, Tia. Geez."

Jenny slides into the passenger seat and pinches his cheek.

I roll my eyes again.

Quincy sighs as I slowly grab his hand, intertwining our fingers.

"You okay?"

I whisper, resting my head on his shoulder.

He frowns.

"Yes."

He mutters, shifting a little.

"..Are you sure?"

I hesitate to ask.

"Never been surer in my life."

He says seriously.

My throat closes up, for some reason.

"Okay."

I whisper, my eyes reluctantly closing.

"You smell like watermelon."

He mutters.

"Tastes like strawberry....on a summer evening. And it tastes just like a song."

Brandon immediately starts singing.

"Absolutely not."

I crack an eye open immediately.

He spends too much time singing and annoying me.

"Breathe me in, breathe me out. I don't know if I could ever go without. I'm just thinking out loud, I don't know if I could ever go without....WATERMELON SUGAR! HIGH!"

This is going to be a long ride.

"Lovie."

I sigh, my eyes reluctantly opening as I wake up to the most heavenly sound on earth.

I just love it when he speaks softly in his raspy voice.

I take a moment to stare into his blank eyes as he awkwardly taps my forehead.

"We're here, Tiara."

He soothes.

I don't blink.

"You're so handsome."

I whisper, yawning a little.

He looks taken back for a moment.

Then his cheeks turn red.

I can't help but smile.

He's so adorable.

"Ah. Um, thank you. Wow."

He says dorkily, a lopsided grin appearing on his face.

"Come on, honey. You have all the time in the world to be cute later."

I usher him out.

"I didn't know that you thought that about me. Geez, do I have time to be surprised?"

He grumbles, getting out reluctantly.

"Later. I want to see the house."

I wave him off.

"You might as well take the shirt off. It looks like if you stretch, it'll rip right down the middle."

I add in a whisper shout.

He rolls his eyes, pulling the shirt over his head reluctantly.

"You never let me try anything new. I like silk."

He complains, ignoring Derek's snickering.

"Me too. I'll buy you a loose silk shirt. You'll look equally as handsome, sweetie."

I mutter, turning as Jenny squeals and starts running up the front steps.

"Is it as grand as I'm imagining?"

Quincy whispers as I grab his hand.

I smile at him.

"Yes. It's absolutely perfect."

I stare in complete awe at the huge villa before us.

"Great. Lets go before Jenny claims the best room, yes?"

He says, slaughtering past me.

I wonder what's going through his head right now.

{Quîncy}

Î sîgh as Î feel her welcomîng arms close în around my stomach.

"Hî."

She's been soundîng...strange.

Î've been tryîng my best to not let ît get to me but ît's not workîng.

În fact, ît kînd of feels lîke she's been straîght up avoîdîng me for a lîttle whîle.

All day actually. Well ever sînce we got here.

After getting settled în our rooms earlîer, the ladîes went out to a restaurant they saw on the way here.

Granted, we don't have many nîce restaurants în our lîttle town so ît wasn't all too weîrd that they were really excîted about ît.

They were gone for a good 3 hours though.

Î remember the exact tîme they left, Î asked my Sîrî what tîme ît was rîght before Î fell asleep, whîch wasn't long after they left.

The bed îs so soft, Î îmmedîately felt lîke Î sunk down a lîttle when Î fîrst sat down.

"Hî, sugar. How was Gîno's?"

Î ask, tryîng my best not to lean înto her too much.

Î have a feelîng that Î could really crush thîs gîrl îf Î wanted to.

She's just so small.

Î truthfully cherîsh our relationshîp too much though.

Every tîme Î feel her eyes on me, my face starts to feel hot.

Î get nervous because Î don't know what she thînks about.

All Î know îs that she thînks Î'm handsome.

Whîch Î fînd very flatterîng.

But ît doesn't soothe my fragîle mînd though, even Î know that looks aren't the only thîng that's împortant.

Î kînd of want to ask her what she's thînkîng about but we just got here.

Î don't want to ruîn our trîp by brîngîng up what happened wîth us.

"Ît was okay. There were a lot of guys there. Ît made Ruby a lîttle uncomfortable so we left early. We brought home takeout, Î hope you lîke shrîmp."

She chatters, oblîvîous to my nervous state.

Î just can't help ît anymore. Now that she knows that Î have feelings for her, Î don't know how to act normal.

"Î love shrîmp. Thank you."

Î clear my throat as she moves away.

Î feel her eyes settle on me as Î tug on my collar awkwardly.

"Are you okay, sweetîe?"

She asks softly.

Ît suddenly feels lîke the room îs closîng în around me.

"Î uh. Yeah, just feelîng a lîttle homesîck, Î guess. Ît feels...unsettlîng to not have Puck here."

Î struggle to say.

"Here, sît down. Î'll get you some water."

She grabs my hand.

Î sîgh as Î sînk down on the bed agaîn.

"Puck îs fîne, James and Lîv are goîng to take good care of hîm. You shouldn't worry about hîm, we'll be back home în a couple of days, Quîncy."

She îs sayîng.

"Thank you."

Î mutter as she hands me a bottle of water.

Suddenly her voîce îs în my ear.

"Do you want a massage? Maybe ît'll make you feel better."

She says softly, restîng her chîn on my shoulder.

My mînd races as the center of my palms start tînglîng.

A massage îs very hîgh on the lîst of thîngs that Î enjoy tremendously.

That kîss we shared was pretty up there too.

Î've only kîssed one person before her.

Dîdn't end very well.

Î toss my water asîde, rollîng over on my stomach.

"Î suppose so. Just don't scratch me agaîn, Î'm very fragîle."

Î complaîn, thînkîng about last tîme.

"Î keep tellîng you, that was an accîdent."

Î sîgh as she straddles my back, restîng her soft palms on my shoulders.

"Why are you so tensed up, we're supposed to be havîng fun. Ît's called a vacatîon for a reason, Quîn."

She complaîns.

Î can't help but shudder a lîttle bît as she lîghtly drags her fîngertîps down my back.

"Dîd you really just ask me why Î'm so tensed up when a pretty gîrl îs straddlîng me?"

Î ask lazîly.

She doesn't say anythîng for a whîle.

My eyes flutter closed as she starts massagîng my shoulders.

"You don't know îf Î'm pretty or not."

She says ît so quîetly that Î almost mîss ît.

Î frown.

Where the hell dîd that come from?

Î suddenly feel a lîttle nauseous.

"Î thînk you're pretty. You don't have to look at someone to feel that way. You're very kîndhearted and lîkable. Plus everyone Î ask says that you're very attractîve. Î never doubted ît."

Î sîgh, absentmîndedly runnîng my fîngers over the sîlky sheets.

Î thînk Î'm în love wîth sîlk.

Ît just makes me feel content.

She wordlessly stops, slowly restîng her head on my back.

"You ask people what Î look lîke?"

She whîspers.

Î lîck my lips thoughtfully.

"Î dîd at fîrst. Kînd of makes me feel a lîttle dumb now. Î don't really care îf you don't look how Î îmagîne you do, Î have a very...actîve îmagînatîon. Thîngs change every now and then. Lîke my feelîngs for you."

Î say matter of factly.

Once agaîn, there's sîlence.

Î try not to get nervous all over agaîn.

Î really hope Î dîdn't say the wrong thîng.

"Are you sleepîng?"

Î whîsper after a whîle.

"No. Just lîstenîng to your heartbeat. Ît's very loud and strangely soothîng."

She says quîetly, slowly squeezîng my bîcep.

Î refraîn from rollîng my eyes.

She does that a lot.

One tîme Î asked her why and she sîmply saîd that ît satîsfîes her.

What a strange gîrl.

"You're weîrd. Î really lîke that."

Î whîsper shout, smîlîng to myself.

She sîghs quîetly, her voîce back în my ear.

"You're cute. Î really lîke that."

She whîspers.
