The gate opened and I entered into the large arena. Immediately a stream of fire was shot in my direction, I dove out of the way just barely dodging the attack. I looked up trying to find my opponent. She was standing across the arena from me, a smug grin on her face.
"I heard your magic is so low you can't even use your element. How pathetic is that, " she scoffed.
"I guess this will just be a warm-up match for me."
I couldn't help but smile as I picked myself up. She wasn't aware that my magical abilities had increased, I had the advantage of surprise.
I let some magic flow through my body to increase my physical attributes, then I charged appearing in front of her instantly. She was shocked and didn't have time to defend herself as I hit her with an electrically charged kick to the abdomen.
The poor girl was sent flying into the barrier of the arena causing it to crack upon impact. As her feet touched the ground she dropped down to her knees coughing up blood.
I grinned wickedly as lightning crackled around me. Slowly I approached her.
"The information form said your name is Karla right. It's nice to meet you, Karla. Please do not underestimate me again."
I eyed her as she forced herself up onto her feet and wiped the blood from her mouth.
"So you have a little more magical power than I thought. You're still no match for me."
Her legs were trembling but she still spoke with arrogance, she quickly fired four fireballs at me.
I created a lightning barrier to block her attack causing a massive explosion when the fireballs hit my barrier.
When the smoke cleared Karla was wielding a giant flame sword, it extended from her hand and was around fifteen feet long and three feet thick. she had it raised into the air.
"Turn to ash, scum!"
She screamed as she brought the flame sword down. The attack caught me off guard, it was too late for me to dodge or block. I released a large amount of my magic out of panic.
An enormous bolt of lightning struck the arena where I was standing causing another explosion only this time much more powerful.
The force of the explosion shook the arena, cracked the ground, and sent me and Karla flying in opposite directions.
Skipping over the ground I came to rest on the other side of the arena. I quickly rose to my feet searching for my opponent as the dust and smoke cleared, I spotted Karla face down in the dirt across the arena from me.
It seemed she was knocked unconscious from the force of being flung into the wall again.
"The victor of this match is the lightning user Kaiser."
Tournament attendants came and took Karla away to be healed as I left the arena myself, I wanted to find somewhere to relax and check for any injuries I sustained during the match.
I went back to the place I found earlier and sat down checking my body for any wounds, finding none I went into town to find a place to eat.
I had four days to kill before the next match, I planned on spending that time training.
