Chapter 28 - Hallucination...?

He looked at her empathetically and held out a spoonful of soup close to her mouth. "I know, you are too full to eat, but this will really help to warm up your body. Take a few sips." The boy smiled a bit, looking at the panicky girl.

Sarah who was still lying down on the couch nodded her head and opened up her mouth. The boy slowly inserted the hot soup in her mouth and patted her head with his other hand. "You need to be a little watchful Sarah. That was too much of height. Next time if you want something just let me know, or call the staff in case I am unavailable. But don't take such danger." He once again patted her head lovingly, giving her another sip of the soup.

The warmth of the soup and his touch had actually made the girl to stop shuddering. The fire place too had made the entire atmosphere enormously warm. After taking two sips of the soup the girl lifted her upper body and rested it on the couch's back still lost in a thought. Her face looked like she was trying to figure out something very critically.

"What is it Sarah. What are you thinking? Stop thinking about it. Such incidents keep happening in life, but you are fine and it is all over." Evlin frowned looking at the girl who seemed to be solving a tough maths computation.

Sarah frowned after she heard the boy's words and finally spoke up. "No, the thing is that I did not lose my balance. I had just touched the book when something pushed my hand away so forcefully that I was thrown backwards and eventually lost my feet's balance. I clearly memorize feeling tremendous stress on my wrist." The girl then held out her wrist and turned it several times; but her wrist looked absolutely fine.

"What?" the boy frowned touching her wrist soothingly.

Sarah too frowned as she had expected to get some marks on her wrist. The jerk was so firm and excruciating that she was sure to have some blue marks on her skin. "How can this be? I was sure somebody gripped my wrist."

Evlin sighed and then placed the soup aside, as the girl's body had turned much warmer. "Relax. You were at a great height. At times, you feel like this when you suddenly get vertigo or something. Relax." The boy shifted himself closer to the girl and held her arms lovingly, trying to calm her down.

The girl finally looked in his eyes and for once the world had stopped. As if all her tensions had dissipated she was lost in his deep sea- green eyes. They both were now constantly starring in each other's eyes as if their world had come to a halt. The boy could not help but notice how beautiful her face looked as the iridescent illumination of fire reflected on her face. He quickly cleaned the tear stains from her face with his hands and smiled. "Relax. I am here with you. Read up to your heart's content and I will give you good company." The boy smiled still holding her soft hands yet again.

"Thank you so much boss." The girl smiled gratefully looking at his muscular hands which were holding her with so much tenderness.
