The economy is this uses silver gold and the like. The amount of food and resources is going to be measured in 'units'. Finally, there will be different types of military units that I will add onto later. It is all very basic but I wanted this here in case someone forgets or for new readers that want to know how it all works.
1000 copper = 1 silver
1000 silver = 1 gold
1000 gold = 1 platinum
I will always try to give the exact numbers whenever I mention the currency of a country or how much our MC is carrying. But if I'm lazy don't blame me for just saying a large number in gold instead of converting to platinum.
A unit is basically going to be 1000 pounds (I'm American, sorry we aren't taught metric, and no, I'm lazy, not gonna do a ton of work for conversions unless it comes to basic things that I'll know how to deal with like meters and maybe temperature).
1000 pounds = 1 unit
1000 units = 1 terra-unit
Military units will be pretty basic medieval stuff for a good portion of the novel until we get into some really interesting stuff.
Footmen - Basic foot soldier, trained in sword and shield.
Archer - Basic archer, longbow or compound bow, used for long range engagements
Mage - Basic mage, uses magic to bombard the enemy, can also be used for healing and land development. Elements include but are not limited to fire, water, air, earth, light, and void.
Cavalry - A footman on a horse, can wield sword, lance, or shield depending on the needed engagement.
Pike-men - A footmen with a spear, very effective against cavalry.
Ships - will refer to militarized ships, not amount of trade ships as those usually belong to merchants.
P.S. 1000 soldiers = 1 legion
Now then, I hope you all enjoy. Look forward to future updates on military units and other important things.
