Soon, Min Jae and Eun Hye entered the hall. They saw a lot of people had already been seated near the stage and they were busy talking to each other. However, when the couple entered, the hall quietened down.
Everyone shifted their attention towards Min Jae and Eun Hye as they watched the beautiful couple walked towards the empty VIP seats at the very front row.
The man was dressed in a royal blue suit with his neatly combed black hair. A fleeting smile graced his lips as he escorted his partner to the front. Meanwhile, the woman appeared immaculate in her white Versace dress. Both of them looked like a pair of jade annulus.
Suddenly someone gasped, "Isn't that Park Min Jae, the CEO of Hyerim hospital?"
"Wait! That billionaire who never attended the media?"
"But didn't he come out five years ago to announce his wedding to the public?" someone countered.
"Ah, so that's his wife? I remember her name being Hong Shu Hwa."
"Yup. It's her alright. Oh my God, both of them look so perfect, especially Min Jae in his suit." The females gushed seeing the handsome man while the males gawked at the beautiful woman in appreciation.
Min Jae tightened his grip on Eun Hye's hand as he commented in displeasure, "This is why I don't like attending events."
Eun Hye chuckled. "Well, look at all of them stripping you naked."
Min Jae turned to his wife and leaned to her ear. He whispered, "But only you have the right to strip me naked anytime."
Eun Hye blushed and scolded him with a low voice that only the two of them could hear.
"Behave," She ordered him.
Min Jae grinned in return and whispered back, "Yes, My Queen."
Eun Hye couldn't help but smile happily at this playful banter. But, she really felt it after all these years, she had indeed felt like a queen standing beside him.
After they found their seats, they waited along with the others. Though a certain someone was too excited to wait patiently as he continuously glanced everywhere, trying to determine from which way Bluebell would come.
Eun Hye shook her head at his antics. She really had no comment to that, so she drifted her attention to her cellphone.
Minutes passed and the crowd seemed to grow bigger. Then at exactly 3 PM, the host came to announce the start of the event.
Everyone clamored in excitement and Eun Hye could feel the tension in the air as everyone waited for the guests to arrive. She felt Min Jae hand tightened as his glimmering eyes landed at the entrance.
The doors finally opened and the guests entered the hall one after another following the order of their name as the host announced it. The fans cheered for their favorite authors as the guests walked past them. Some of the authors even shook their fans' hand before heading towards the stage.
However, the one that Min Jae waited hadn't arrived yet. So, he anxiously stared at the entrance for her to come out and a minute later, he saw a black silhouette followed by a gentleman approached the hall.
And the author's name finally escaped from the host lips, "Now, let us welcome our lovely Bluebell!"
Immediately, the crowd whipped their head towards the lady. They gasped when their eyes met a tall elegant young lady in a laced-insert tailored wool-blend mini dress by Alexander McQueen. It accentuated her svelte figure perfectly while showing her slender legs. Her hair was styled into a side French braid with a few strands falling at the side of her face.
She was wearing sunglasses on her face as well as a mask but, those could not hide her devastating beauty, rather it set a mysterious vibe around her.
Bluebell glanced at the audience and bowed before she waved her hand at them. The crowd cheered thunderously and some of them even rushed forward to her but, was immediately stopped by the guards.
They were all shouting how beautiful she was and how much they loved her.
Min Jae gaped at his favorite author in awe as he watched her taking her seat and politely nodding at her fellow guests. He didn't know why but his heart ached when he saw her enter the hall.
He knitted his brows in confusion but was soon brought back to his senses when he felt his wife's hand tightened around him.
"Babe," he murmured and when he found her staring at Bluebell in daze, he nudged her slightly.
Eun Hye was startled. She turned to her husband absently. She didn't know why but the author gave her a familiar feeling. A Familiar and scary feeling.
She instantly shook her head and forced a smile at Min Jae.
He kissed her hand as he said, "For me, you are the most beautiful one, Babe."
Eun Hye only smiled lightly at his comment. Unbeknownst to them, a pair of eyes had been watching them the whole time even as she had first entered the hall.
Soon, the meet and greet session took place and a huge line was formed.
Fortunately, since they were sitting in the first row, they were only the fifth in the line.
Eun Hye watched as the author signed the books and talked to each person before she moved to the other. And, if someone brought her a present, her assistant would take care of it.
Soon, it was their turn and Min Jae happily took out his collection as he handed them to her for signing.
"I have been following you since you started writing your poems. For some reason, your words touched my heart and I've always known that you would reach high one day," Min Jae immediately sang her in praises. His eyes were sparkling as he stared at her intently.
Bluebell chuckled. She raised her head to face him. Although Min Jae could not see her face, he could hear the gentleness of her feminine voice.
"Thank you so much for believing in me," Bluebell thanked him.
Then, the author looked at Eun Hye for a second before asking, "Is this your girlfriend?"
Min Jae turned to Eun Hye, who was smiling at him and said, "No. This is my beautiful wife."
"Ah. I see..."
He nodded happily and continued, "She was the one who bought me the tickets. She read all your books too when she saw that I was a huge fan of yours."
Eun Hye blushed as she tugged at his sleeves to stop him from blabbering. However, she suddenly heard Bluebell's voice. "What's your name, Beautiful Miss?"
"Shu Hwa. My name is Park Shu Hwa." Eun Hye sweetly smiled at her even though she hated that name.
"Oh my, what a nice name!"
"Thank you."
"So, what do you think of my book? Do you like it as well?"
"Yes, I did. It's amazing and I can see why my husband loves your work."
Bluebell chuckled derisively and although Min Jae did not realize it, Eun Hye didn't miss the mocking tone in Bluebell's laugh. Eun Hye knitted her eyebrows.
"Thank you for your kind words. I've never thought I would hear your praise in this lifetime."
Suddenly, Eun Hye sensed a foreboding feeling upon Bluebell words.
"What do you mean?" Eun Hye asked.
But the next moment, what she saw shocked her out of her wits as Bluebell rose from her seat and took off her cover.
Eun Hye looked on in horror at the identical face that was staring back at her. Then, Eun Hye heard Bluebell spoke. But this time, due to the absence of her mask, Eun Hye could finally hear the familiar voice.
A voice that she had long forgotten.
"Long time no see, Unni. Do you miss me?"
