As we all awake in a new world, we see several skyscrapers with several hundred floors. We all look around as we watch a new skyscraper built in a matter of seconds.
"What is this place?"
Zero asks. I shake my head as I see a girl walking toward us from down the street. She has knee length shorts that have holes in them and a hoodie. As she gets closer a sword forms in her hand. The sword has a thick blade and is the same length of her body. She lightly smiles.
"You are intruding on the city of Killine, please leave willingly or leave in a body bag."
She says as she tilts her head and giggles.
"Sorry, but I don't take threats from little girls too well."
Raycar says. The little girl smiles and she plants her sword in the ground. She holds out her hand and her hand transforms into a gun. She starts firing at the same rate a heavy machine gun would fire. Raycar quickly grabs Zero and jumps behind a wall.
We all follow and luckily none of us get shot. We all follow Raycar as he runs away from the city. After several minutes of running we arrive as a broken down house. Raycar kicks open the door and we all run inside. I close the door as we all get inside.
"What was that!?"
Aziria asks. Raycar sighs and speaks up.
"They're techians. An advanced race of cyborgs. They can create weapons from any part of their body."
Raycar mumbles.
"And how do you know this?"
Zero asks. Raycar stares at the floor for a moment then looks up at Zero.
"Cause I've been here before, back when I worked with Death Core."
Raycar says.
"How do we beat them?"
Vic asks. Raycar shakes his head.
"It is very hard, they adapt in the middle of a fight. It took Me, Anix, and Cara to take down one of them."
Raycar replies.
"Cara? Who's that?"
Zero asks.
"She was the previous leader of Death Core. She sacrificed herself to take down one of the techians so we could get away."
Raycar says as he walks to the back of the house. We all follow him. As we reach the back of the house we see a door that leads outside. As we exit the house we see a techian that's been disassembled. Raycar walks to the broken techian and takes a large chipped sword from it.
"This used to be my sword."
Raycar says as we all see cracks throughout the blade of the rusted weapon. Raycar drops the sword and looks at the techian.
"Hey, why don't we just leave?"
Zero asks. Raycar sighs and looks at us.
"The central core for the gun seems to be out of energy, we need a new core."
Raycar says as he points to the techian.
"Techians have extremely powerful cores, if we can kill a techian, we can get a core."
Raycar says softly. I see Zero walking away and I signal everyone to follow us. I follow Zero and when I look back I see everyone following us. Zero suddenly unsheathes his sword for the first time since he was taken by the military.
"We are gonna get a core."
Zero says as lightning discharges from his blade.
"But first, let's draw them to us, make them fight on our terms."
Zero says as he holds his sword up and shoots lightning into the sky.
"They'll have to be blind to miss this."
Zero growls as everyone jumps in trees as hides, waiting for the enemy to show up.
This is nuts, the techians gave us a run for our money last time, and that was just one. There's no telling how many will show up now.
I think as we all see a fire ball burn a tree 100 feet away from us.
"They're here."
I hear Raycar say in the tree next to mine. Zero quickly jumps into a tree and hides. After several minutes we see 2 techians come from behind a dense area of trees in the distance. One of them is the little girl from before, but the other one is a boy that has chains all over him. As they get underneath our trees they slowly look around. They see the house and the girl slowly walks toward it. Raycar summons his energy sword and holds it by the blade. The sword transforms into a spear. He quickly throws the spear at the girl and it hits her in the back of the knee. As it hits her, Zero and I drop down on the boy. His chains come off his body and hit both of us in the ribs. We both get knocked back into trees.
What, he can control those chains as part of his body!?
I think, readying my sword. I look over and see Aziria cut off the little girls head then I quickly look back at the boy. Zero jumps over to me and readies his sword. Vic and Raycar jump down next to me and Zero as well. Vic summons Evanesa and Raycar summons his energy sword. The boy quickly jumps toward us as his chains swing at us.
Aziria jumps behind him and cuts his back as Zero and Raycar block his chains. Vic jumps up to him and cuts his head off with her sword. The boys body falls to the ground.
"They seemed pretty easy."
Zero says.
"They aren't dead, they're rebooting."
Raycar mumbles as the girl that got her head cut off stands up. Her sword opens up and a second blade comes out of the top of her already massive blade. The opened part of the blade then closes and locks.
"Her blade is twice as long as it was before."
I hear Vic say. The boy whose head got cut off then stands up. His chains start spinning in a circle around him as a sword grows out of his left hand. He jumps toward us and swings his sword and chains. Raycar and Zero block the chains, and Vic blocks the sword.
I quickly jump close to the boy and cut his arms off. The boy jumps back and stands completely still.
"What's it doin?"
Aziria asks.
"It's thinking of what it can do right now."
Raycar replies as he boy runs toward us. The boy jumps toward us as 2 sword grow out of his knees. It starts throwing kicks toward us and I get a small cut across my cheek from his blade. I cut off his left leg and kick him off his feet. I then jam my blade into the ground through the right leg where the leg meets the hip.
"He had no arms, no legs, and no head. He can't do anything now."
I say as I walk over to the girl and cut off her arms and legs as well. Zero looks at the boy for a power core.
"I don't see a power core on this one."
Zero says. Aziria speaks up.
"There's not one on the girl either."
Aziria says as she looks at Raycar.
"Then where do we get a power core?"
I ask. Raycar thinks for a minute.
"If they stopped putting individual power cores in the cyborgs, that would explain why they seem so weak. Then, in that case, all the power is coming from one command tower."
He says.
"So we have to go into the city and search every tower till we find the power core?"
Aziria asks. Raycar nods.
"I'm afraid so, but we might get lucky and find it on our first search."
Raycar says with a small amount of sarcasm.
Great, we gotta go into a city filled with these stupid robots and find a power core amongst the hundreds of huge skyscrapers.
I think. I hear Zero laugh behind me. I turn around and see him smiling.
"That means we get alot of training here, every fight will make us stronger! So let's go kick some cyborgs teeth out."
Zero says. Raycar mumbles from behind me.
"These were scouts."
I look at Raycar, noticing him inspecting the female technician.
"They are far weaker than a warrior Techian."
Scouts? That means these aren't even powerful? This is turning into one hell of a trip.
I think as I return Nirioki to it's knife form.
