The floor mends itself and the statue reappears in the middle. Tentacles rise through holes in the floor, once more forming a cage around the statue. As the statues solidify and turn back to a stone-like substance, a notification appears.
[100+ Levels Gained!]
I stand, almost intimidated by the notification.
Over one-hundred levels!? That's absurd! Wait, what leveled me up?
I think, a feeling of confusion slamming against me.
"Hey, Vex?"
I mumble while looking to him. He turns his head away from Blankk and tilts his head slightly.
"Yeah? What's up?"
He replies, almost at the same low tone I spoke to him.
"Why did I level up? Did I fight something while I was zoned out?"
Suddenly memories snap back into my head. I see Vex get slammed against the wall by the monster. I then see myself easily dispatching of the creatures.
Before those memories seems real, like I was there. But the rest, they feel like a dream. I should remember all of that if it happened only a few minutes ago, but I don't.
Almost as soon as the thought appeared, I seemingly stop caring. Vex speaks up.
"Well, you fought and defeated the guardians of this place. And they were all very high level, so it makes sense you would level up. Honestly, I'd be more concerned if you hadn't leveled up."
Vex says, joking and clearly trying to ease the mood. As I start to open my stats, I see Blankk almost appear in front of me.
"Oh man, it's so good to see everyone again! Even though I was only dead, and unconscious, for about two hours."
He says, clearly raising questions in everyone's minds. Vex quickly speaks up.
"How do you know how long you were dead? And do you know how you were resurrected?"
Vex asks, obviously suspicious. Blankk nods quickly.
"I was revived in Mixis tower, who's owned by Mixis Rerigold. His daughter is Risti, the one Kain was talking about!"
His face instantly turns from happy to sadness.
"K-kain?"
He looks over his shoulder, almost scared. Upon seeing Kain, he teleports behind me. I look back, shocked.
"I'm sorry sir! You must understand I couldn't take it!"
Kain nods, almost sympathizing with Blankk.
"I understand."
I quickly spin around, staring confusedly at Blankk. Vex speaks up.
"Alright, alright, how about we get some information on what you-twos relationship is. How do you know each other?"
Vex asks, Kain quickly speaking up.
"We were both in a military group. We weren't a guild, nothing so formal. We just killed who we were told. I left when I found out we were just glorified mercenaries."
Kain closes his eyes and crosses his arms.
"I lost a lot of friends during my time with that group."
Kain sighs deeply, everyone turning their attention to Blankk. Warren speaks up, almost happy.
"Ex-military, that makes more sense for some of your mannerisms. Still have some holes in the story, mind filling them in? Like why'd you leave, then start following Dante?"
Warren asks, almost trying to prove a point. Blankk's eyes suddenly jolt open, glowing brightly.
"Me? You assume I was using Dante? No, I only wanted to travel with people again. But what about you? You used Dante to get away from the prison and guards. You only joined the group to be untouchable by the law."
They glare at each other. By the way Warren pauses, it makes it obvious Blankk is telling the truth. I feel my heart hurt slightly, then turn to look at Warren. Warren quickly looks to me then points to Azeroth.
"What about him then!? I heard you talking while Dante was unconscious, that he only joined because he was about to get ganged up on for cheating in a card game! I'm not the only one who joined on bad reasons!"
Warren shouts, Azeroth quickly widening his eyes.
"W-what? No, I just wante-"
"No! Don't even start!"
Warren cuts him off. Blankk speaks up again.
"You're right, Azeroth didn't join us because he wanted to. The situation forced it, but unlike you, he still wants to stay."
Azeroth nods, quickly glaring at Warren. Warren starts to speak up, but fumbles over his words.
"Wha-what? No I, I want to travel with, uh."
His mind is obviously racking to find a way out of this.
"That's not important! How do you even know any of this!?"
Warren shouts, Blankk suddenly becoming puzzled. His eyes returns to their normal green appearance and he scratches his head.
"I'm- I'm not sure actually."
He stares upwards, rubbing his chin. Warren glares at him, an awkward silence descending upon the room. Kain sighs deeply, walking up to Warren and raising an eyebrow.
"You really want to stay with the group? Prove it, I'm sure the others will understand if you can prove you really want to be here."
Kain says, Vex nodding in aggreeance. Warren sighs in response.
"Fine, fine. What do I have to do?"
He asks coldly. Kain shakes his head.
"No, prove you want to be here. It won't happen immediately, so I say we give you a little bit of time."
I suddenly feel emotionless again.
"Whatever, if he wants to stay he can."
I mumble, instantly opening my status page.

I wait for several seconds for the spell list to appear, but a different notification appears.
[All Mortal Spells Mastered]
I stare heavily at the "Mortal" part of the notification.
"So there exists even more spells besides what I've seen? And I didn't memorize the list, so how will I know what spells I have?"
I grumble, almost upset with the lack of knowledge. Vex looks at me confused.
"What's wrong?"
I shake my head.
"Its not giving me enough information, and also being very vague."
Vex smiles.
"You? Wanting more information? That seems highly unlike you."
Vex says jokingly, I look to him and close my stats.
"Whatever. Anyways, the thing underneath us said that the answer to our Arthur problem is some guy named Grim. Let's find him."
