Chapter 22 - 17.2

Hah!

Crash!

"I told you to 'come at me', why are you this slow?" Chris smirked as he threw ice blades toward Sanchez and Lili.

Lili jumped to avoid and vanished into thin air. Sanchez jumped away, then dashed toward Chris.

"!"

"Got you." Two voices said at the same time from the front and behind of Chris.

Chris did triple back flip to avoid those two's attacks. "Good technique, guys. But, try avoid this!"

Chris dashed and vanished right in front of them.

"?"

Everyone tilted their head in confusion, their eyes turned left-right, to any other side, searching for Chris where-being.

"Got you."

Slash!

.

.

'Stunned'

There, stood steadily Lili and Sanchez. Then, their figure gradually disappeared into fog.

Chris held back his mana. He held both of his waist with an upset face.

"Aha… illusion spell, huh? Geez, just where are you guys?" Chris stroked his hair as he turned his sight to every sight.

"Hah…" Chris sighed, then slash his ice mana toward one of the corner of the arena box.

"Try again, guys." Chris said with a flat tone as the slash point got Sanchez and Lili revealed their figure.

Sanchez and Lili kneeled down to the floor, look to the right-below side of their sight. As if they got upset or pretend to not see what happened. On other side, Chris rose a handsome wide grin.

"So, guys, better watch your feet. There is a very slim chance you could hide your step sound even if you use high-level illusion spell."

Chris approached them and brought them to his shoulders like carrying potato sacks. Neither of those 'potato sacks' could protest as they could not utter more words. Their mana was blocked by Chris' ice mana, so they could not move because of that.

"Now, shall we be back to our seat…" Chris said as he jumped down from the arena while carrying both Sanchez and Lili on his shoulders, both right and left shoulders.

Everyone staring at that 'weird' ending of battle.

"Sir Christian win! Get 20 bonus points for every subject in new semester!" The ball-shaped robot said as it went up and down like it was excited.

"Teacher!"

One of the boy in the line raised his right hand high up. The boy has a short light brown hair with a sparkly golden eyes. He has an exotic skin, a sexy vibe which would make any girl hysteric. But honestly, he was a bit off in the line because of his big and muscular build.

"Yes?"

The boy stepped out from the line and opened his mouth.

"Greetings, Teacher. I go by the name Brillian Van. I want to ask, what is the usage of the points? What would be expected from us with the battle like just now? How do we match our talent if the weapons has already gotten decided by the system? Furthermore, why we should do this 'lining up' and take turn to got this paper?" He shook his paper a little as he asked those questions.

The teacher, a woman with a pair of thin silver-framed glasses, smiled gently. She said, "Sir Van, thank you for your questions."

The teacher stepped out from her previous standing spot to near Brillian. "My name is Gloria Johnson, I am responsible for the Economic and Social-Culture subjects."

"Now, to your questions. First, we have a target point of 80 for every subject, the more the better. Bonus points could be use on the subject that do not get pass the target point. We called the maximal score of 100 'Full Markah', if you happen to get more point than 100, then it would be counted as bonus points."

"Second, what we want is your talent. Allowing us to do 'mock battle' with a decided weapons is a great deal to judge even your 'inner' and 'hidden' talent. For your third question, I am afraid that this is the regulation for every new semester mock battle. You are allowed to use your magic and the other martial arts, but not the weapons from outside, it is a case of security and safety."

"And last, student! Put your papers up to your head! I will show the answer with this…"

Sring…

Gloria flicked her right hand and a sparkly blue light came out. All the students' papers were radiating a blue aura. The blue aura slowly disappeared and turned the paper into a pendant, in form of necklace, bracelet, and other kind of accessories, even sword and old-style wooden magic staff.

"W-wow!"

"Awesome! What is this?!"

Brillian stared at his paper which has turned into a thin chained bracelet with a small blue crystal shaped like a crescent. There was a 'Brill' written on the crystal.

"This… an ID crystal?" Brillian said slowly while still staring at the bracelet.

"Yes, you are right, Sir Van." Gloria nodded with a satisfied face. "Each student have their own ID crystal and there will be no similarity one to another. Please report to the student administration office if your ID got lost or broken."

"Em, Miss Gloria?" Brillian raised his hand again.

"Yes, Sir Van?" replied Gloria with an understanding smile.

"Why are there four to five red sofa near the arena? It is not enough for all of the students to sit on." Brill opened his arms to refer the other students.

Gloria's smile became wider. "The sofa is for the 'special registered' students. Pardon me to say this, but you are also one of them, Sir Van."

Brillian flinched. Turned his head to right and left.

"Me?" Brill said while pointing himself in confusion.

Gloria touched her chin, "Actually, Sir Van, I was wondering why were you standing in lines when I have told all the special guard to inform all of you. So," Gloria turned her eyes to the sleepy head knight called Asher whose stood beside her.

"I know nothing, Gloriagon." Asher yawned as he said the words, calling Gloria some kind of dragon species.

Gloria grinned, "Oh my, looks like it's tea time. Shall we all go to the cafetaria?"

All the students flinched with a stiff smile on their face. 'We pray for your life, Sir Asher.' They said in their mind as they walked away from the field and enter the main cafeteria. Pretending do not know whatever happen behind their back.

"Students, all of you may have half an hour of free time before tea time. Today we served pudding and red Eastern tea. If you have any preference or allergies, please tell the chef or cafeteria attendants."

That was what the robotic announcement board said. Students were splitting to a few groups. There were waiting while talking to each other at the cafetaria while seeing the snack menu available. There were also boys who walked to another place to rest and some were seeking trouble.

"You, how dare you, lowly peasant, attend this honorable school!" said the boy with a long blonde hair and bluish eyes while pointing at a dark-elf girl.

Aha, and these was the 'seeking trouble' guys.

"Another problematic guy, huh?" said Rafa with a sighed.

"Don't get burned, Si…" Rafa flinched as she saw her twin sister, Nia, already looked upset.

'It is not gonna be a good sight.'
