Chapter 9 - Chapter 1 - Touma Reminiscene 1

Eight years have passed, since Touma met his grandfather, Hiko Seijuro XIII. Currently Touma is much stronger than his past self as Saotome Ranma. Tuma had once again mastered all the martial techniques of the Anything Goes Martial Arts to perfection thanks to the help of Hiko who trained him at a much more brutal level than the training given by Genma in the past.

Hiko's Hiten Mitsurugi ryuu is also perfectly mastered, although he has not yet reached Hiko's level. For Touma who in his past life as Ranma almost never used any weapons. Mastering one of the greatest sword styles in the world is a challenge in itself. It took Touma three years to learn the sword technique from Hiko.

But what has Touma been doing for the past eight years? To find out, let's do a little flashback!

By the time Touma was over seven years old, he began a weekly training routine with his grandfather, in order to learn to control Imagine Breaker as well as the dragons and the invisible thing Besides that he also did not forget to practice his Anything Goes martial arts style. At the age of eight, Hiko began teaching Touma the Hiten Mitsurugi sword technique, although at first Touma did not want to learn the technique at all because Touma felt more comfortable using his fist.

When Touma was ten years old, he was sent to the Academy City by his parents. Because from the time Touma was seven years old until he was ten, Shiina and Touya could see that Touma had shown abnormal signs in the past three years. Touma can run much faster than Touya who rides his bicycle, he also accidentally smashed the wall of his house with just one hit from the palm of his hand when Touma tried to swat the mosquito that stuck to the wall.

All the abnormal things shown by Touma made Shiina and Touya worry that one day Touma would be ostracized by others who would regard Touma as a monster.

Because of that Shiina and Touya felt sending Touma to Academy city was the best choice they made for Touma because in Academy city, there were many abnormal people like Touma. After all, Hiko also lives in Academy City and he is still carrying out his mission, so Shiina and Touya don't feel worried about Touma's presence in Academy City because there is Hiko who can take care of Touma.

When Touma arrived at the Academy city, and the staff as well as the scientists in the Academy city examined Touma's body, he was classified as a Gemstone. Because before Touma could go through the curriculum program from the Academy city, he had already shown his unique ability to imitate the telekinesis of a level 2 esper by using Empathy Mimicry after he accidentally saw a level 2 esper practicing using his esper ability.

At first the Academy city thought that Touma was a Gemstone esper with telekinesis powers, but after Touma showed many other abilities he had imitated when he was near many espers. Finally, the Academy City realized that Touma's power was not just Telekinesis.

After the Academy city scientist checked Touma's DNA. They discovered that Touma DNA was able to blend in with other Esper's DNA. Like the colors in a mosaic, Touma's DNA re-sequenced itself to mimic the abilities of surrounding Espers like a sponge the same as Peter Petrelli in Heroes.

It's just that Touma's abilities are far superior to Peter's, because Touma won't be in any danger even if he absorbs unstable Esper abilities.

Because of Touma's unique Empathy Mimicry ability and because it was able to make Touma have more than one ability, Touma was ranked as 0 out of Level 5 with the nickname The Faker. The prototypes of all level 5s, as well as the first Dual Skill users previously considered impossible to exist according to the scientists in Academy City. And for the scientists and researchers in the Academy city, Touma was an invaluable research material.

But unfortunately the research they can do on Touma is very limited, because in addition to the knowledge of scientists regarding Empathy Mimicry is very limited, Hiko who is Touma's guardian in the Academy city forbids the Academy city to make his grandson as a guinea pig. And because the Academy city knows that Hiko is someone very powerful and has a lot of influence. They couldn't do anything about Touma at all.

Aleister Crowley himself as one of the founder of the Academy city was confused by Touma's existence that contradicted everything he knew. Using magic and divination, Aleister was able to find out that Touma was the new owner of Imagine Breaker which was an important factor in his plan. But Touma's Empathy Mimicry made Aleister think hard, why did Touma have Esper powers even though he had Imagine Breaker in his right hand. Because for Aleister it was impossible for the possessor of Imagine Breaker to possess Esper power.

Touma's irregularities make Aleister have to redesign all the plans he has made.

Hiko Seijuro XIII was happy, when he found out that his grandson Touma has another unique ability that allows his grandson to have additional powers to protect himself. Previously Hiko felt that it would be impossible for Touma to obtain Esper powers from Academy City, due to the existence of Imagine Breaker.

But after he is told that Touma is a Gemstone with the unique power to imitate the power of other Espers, Hiko makes a theory that Touma can have Esper powers at the same time as Imagine Breaker thanks to Empathy Mimicry which allows his body to change and adapted to the point his body can held two polar opposite power.

At the age of twelve, exactly two years after Touma lived in the Academy city. He was taken by his grandfather to a place called Fairy Coffin, an ancient excavation site where his grandfather Hiko was hired as a bodyguard to protect the archaeologists who were digging in that place.

In that place, an unexpected incident occurred when a chest containing a vampire in the form of a little girl was found in that place, a group of vampire terrorists named the Black Death came to attack that place to take the chest containing the vampire.

Hiko and Touma manage to kill all the vampires, but one of the attacking vampires manages to injure the little girl vampire who was in the coffin and cause the vampire girl to die.

At the same time as the vampire girl was dying, one of the dragon that sealed in Touma body the white dragons mysteriously came out of Touma's right hand mysteriously and devoured the vampire girl's body whole.

Touma and Hiko were surprised by the dragon's behavior, why did the dragon have to devour the vampire girl's body? What was the dragon's intent and purpose by devouring the vampire's body?

At first Touma and Hiko thought that one of the dragons only thought of the vampire girl's body as food so that dragon devoured the vampire girl's body whole.

But a few days later, something strange happened to Touma's body, which became more vampire-like in addition to that when his grandfather did an examination on Touma's body. Hiko discovers that there are an additional twelve magical creatures sealed within Touma's body including the spirit of the vampire girl.

Hiko and Touma finally understood what the purpose of the white dragon was by devouring the vampire girl's body, apparently to increase the number of magical creatures in Touma's body. And for the first time after twelve years of Saotome Ranma reincarnating as Kamijou Touma, he spoke the words that became the trademark of Kamijou Touma, namely: "Such misfortune!"
