Woken up and held at gun point you take a look around. The room is large and spacious, hands tied to a chair with another person tied up across from you.
You try to remember what you were doing, late night shift at your work building when you suddenly heard a window break, bored out of your mind you go to check it out but black out from something, 𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝? You thought to yourself.
A figure enters the room, carrying a gun, and without much hesitation shoots the a person sitting across from you. You panic and start searching the room for a way out but the only way out is where the murderer came from. Time is ticking as the murderer starts making its way to you.
It finally clicks in your head, you discovered what no human should have.

Yuuki opens her eyes to a familiar sight. A small village in which she had done a quest. Looking around she spots Luka's avatar. She opens her mouth but stops before she could say anything.

Luka walks over to the blacksmith shop without looking around. And Yuuki follows carefully, she takes a peek inside and it's Luka talking to a teen who looks like the opposite of a blacksmith, he's frail instead of beefy and tough, he has his day to day clothes on instead of strong armor and to finish it all off he has nerdy glasses on.
"What is it now Inspite? I've already given you multiple discounts you should be out of this village by now with all the gear and level you have."
"Not this time Vith, I have a new player here and I was looking to buy some armor and weapons for her." Vith now has his full attention towards Luka.
"About this girl, age?"
Luka leans in closer and whispers into his ears while glancing at Yuuki for a second. He whispers back. They shake hands and Luka motion her hand for Yuuki to come in.
Yuuki cautiously walks in taking in her surroundings of weapons upon weapons on the sides lined up with careful consideration. Ranged weapons such as crossbows, bow and arrow, staves, throwing knives, boomerangs, and long bows are in the front. While melee weapons such as sharp katanas, large war hammers, and even long claymores. with some armor stands in the middle of the room. Yuuki walks up to Luka and Vith, next to their name is a number.

"Hey there um, Maika? Is that right?" Yuuki nods. "As you know I'm Vith a blacksmith in training and well I need to sell as much of my babies so I can get a blacksmith license."
"B-babies!? Kidnapper freak!" Yuuki pulls out a staff and a magic circle appears under him. An anvil drops onto his head and he takes massive damage.

"Why'd you go ow? Did it hurt?"
"Yes oh my god yes in fact it did hurt the hell, yea inspite you can get the discount as long as she gets outta here." Luka fists her hand and pumps it with a victorious flair. Vith and Yuuki turn to her, she quickly hiss her hand and turns her head away from the two. "Um I didn't do anything." She starts whistling.
"I just saw you."
"Ghost."
"Vith you saw that too right?"
"Clear as day."
"Clearly a ghost."
"O....k....." at this moment they both thought to themselves. "𝚜𝚑𝚎'𝚜 𝚘𝚕𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚞𝚜?"
Luka quickly turns around ready to say something but stops herself. After a few moments of silence between the three Luka walks over to the exit. "You two can confess to each other I'm just gonna... yea." Luka starts making a sprint.
"So... why're you with her?"
"I hoped for an important and impactful person."
"I... see.... your hope was wrongly placed."
"I knew that the moment she first spoke to me but I believe in her.... sorta."
"Well I can give you a quest right now if you want it."
"Players can give out quests?"
"Well only some classes like blacksmith, merchant, and even some priests."
"So NPC's aren't the only one who can give out quests. Couldn't that be abused?"
"Well problem is that player given quest doesn't have the same reward as an NPC quest would."
Vith sits down legs on the table. "NPC quests can give you titles, you know about the powers of titles don't you?"
"Kind of... no not really I don't even have a title."
"Well titles can help increase damage by double or even triple, it could increase mana regeneration and many more. And so many quest titles are useful but player given quest doesn't have the same type of rewards."
"Still could be abused can't it?"
"Oh and only one per player so good luck with trying to farm quests from me."
"Ah I see, anyways are you giving me the quest or not?"
"Buy some armor first." Yuuki checks her pockets but realizes that she doesn't have any armor only a white shirt and leggings.
"Oh. Yea um can I just buy the armor and have Inspite pay?"
"What if she doesn't come back to pay?"
"Charge her more. Anyways what's the currency for this game?"
"Oh remember Terraria?"
"Terraria?"
"Eh never mind, the two systems are similar and that was the first thing that came to my mind. Well one hundred bronze coins turn into one silver, one hundred silvers into gold and then platinum coins which are only given to by nobles and or royalties."
"Ah so what's your quest rewards?"
"8 silver coins and a discount for next visit."
"If you keep giving discounts you'll go broke."
"Me? No it'll be the NPC who will go broke." Suddenly a large beefy man which looks like the perfect blacksmith comes out of the shadows. He's also bald, Major cool factor.
(NPC Jeff, blacksmith)
"Vith what did you just say?" Vith looks up terrified.
"N-nothing sir."
"Ah is that right?" The blacksmith looks over to Yuuki. "You should stop flirting and start selling more.
"Y-yes sir!" Jeff leaves the room through the door behind the counter. "He's scary. I've died approximately two times to him now."
"Is that you showing off? Because... that's disappointing. Anyways shouldn't you be selling me stuff?"
"Fine fine what class?"
"You can't see my class?"
"Oh well duh you're not past level thirty yet. Once you're past you can choose a classmate then you can advance your class at level eighty and you can advance it once more at level two hundred and last is at four hundred for the last and most powerful."
"Oh wow. Well I'll be tamer then."
"Huh? Why? Tamer is weakest class by far."
"Because I don't want to be the one fighting."
"You'll still have to because tamer is just that weak."
"I think I can manage."
"Fine don't listen to me just don't come back crying because you died to a slime. Oh and also if you die there's a death penalty."
"What? A death penalty?"
"Yea it depends on how long you've played in one session. It's to help people take a break when they've played for a long time."
"That's... really dumb you're losing out on players playing the game so why?" Inspite comes in through the entrance with a bottle, the room fills up with the smell of coconut, really strong to the point of it be suffocating.
"Hurry up Maika you're taking forever Jesus."
"O-okay hold up." Maika turns back to vite. "Could you give me the quest plus a new set of armor and a staff?
In an instant all the items appear on the counter. "Alright that would be seven silver coins."
Maika turns to inspite. "Pretty please." Maika pulls out the puppy eyes. "Ugh fine I'll buy it." It was super effective.
Inspite pays up and Maika picks up all the equipment.
"Oh yea also this." Vite throws a scroll at Inspite's head. "Ow why?"
"Because your head is a large target."
"Still that hurts you know I play on max pain setting."
"Tell that to the girl who dropped an anvil on me."
"..."
"Fair enough, anyways Maika here." Inspite hand over the scroll. While Maika equips her newly found armor.

"So inspite where can I find kobold?" Maika is basically jumping around with her staff in hand ready to collect kobold helmets.
Inspite is seen staring at the ground. Maika walks up and shakes her a little. Black beady eyes, Maika blinks and it's back to normal.
"H-huh? Sorry I do that sometimes it's just something I have trouble with."
"Are you alright?"
Inspite chuckles a little and pats Maika's head. "Better than ever. Now for that quest."
Inspite throws a scroll into the air and it burns, Inspite disappears leaving Maika alone. After a few seconds she comes back.
"Oh I'm such a fool, I threw a party teleport scroll but forgot I hadn't added you to the party, whoops."

A vicious wind comes running up through the mouth of what looks like a beast.
"Here's the cave where Kobold spawns. It's pretty closed in so lemme make sure before going in. You're not claustrophobic correct?"
"W-well, I've never tested so this is a first."
"Welp if you're feeling as if you can't breath and or the walls start closing in tell me and I'll get us out, okay?"
"O-okay."
Inspite lights up a piece of torch and heads on in, Maika follows just behind. Inside is dark, darker than a starless night sky. The only light is the bright burning torch. After a few minutes in maika gets the feeling they're being looked at.
"U-um Luka something is looking at-"
Inspite points a finger up. "It's inspite for you."
"B-but still there's something looking at me." Yuuki spins around and there stands the smallest glint of eyes looking at her.
She helps and runs to inspite.
"T-theres a monster there!"
"You making up boogie man? I passed by that place and saw nothing. Where was that confident attitude at the cafe?"
"Now isn't the time! What do I do if I can't see the monster!"
"Ugh fine fine." Luka pulls up a bow from thin air and shoots an arrow. "Light arrow." The arrow shines in the dark corridor, nothing except a tall stalagmite is seen.
"See it's just your imagination but if it is an enemy then use your staff. I mean you got Magic attacks."
"B-but how do I even use it?"
"Hold it... you made it to level fourteen without magic attacks?"
"I-is that a problem?"
"..."
"So then what did you do?"
"I went around kicking slimes. It was pretty fun."
"This... is a fantasy world you understand that right?"
Maika nods. "I knew that."
"And so in a fantasy world you start doing fantasy stuff! Learning magic,beating other players, getting strong weapons and boss raids! Everything a fantasy world has to offer!"
"Uh...huh"
"You're... not familiar with this stuff at all are you?"
"I don't have much time to play nor enough money to play it's just me and my brother after all and I'm not risking wasting money by dying and being locked out"
"I- uh fair enough but well... this is going to be a helluva time"
