Chapter 64 - Chapter 64. The Golden Wrath Sect is no more II

Immediately, Quinn dashed straight for Laura with no good intentions in mind.

"No! Step away!" she screamed in fear.

"Don't you dare!" Leo spoke angrily as he realized Quinn plan after destroying the last rune.

But he was too late, Quinn had firmly grabbed Laura and he lifted her up onto her feet as he placed a dagger that he seemed to pull out from his waist onto her slender pale neck.

"Don't take another step further! Or else I will kill her!" he shouted angrily as he placed his arm around her neck choking her.

"That's not fair," Leo replied with an angry expression on his face. He did not think that Quinn was so lowly that he would even go to such foul play.

"Did you get my master away?" Laura weakly asked as she did not bother fighting him at all.

Leo simply nodded and translucent tears began dropping from her dainty face as she loudly cried at the top of her voice, "I hate this world. The strong all prey on the weak for no particular reason!"

She then turned to Leo with an extremely warm smile as she told him, "Take revenge for me."

She then suddenly raised her hand to hold the dagger and she then forced it upon her neck causing blood to spew everywhere.

"NOO!" Quinn cried as he could not believe how easily Laura had just thrown her laid away.

"You idiot! You lost your life for no particular reason!" he insulted with rage as he threw her to the floor.

Lub-dub... Lub-dub...

Quinn quickly turned to Leo and raised his spear as he proudly spoke, "I'll end this in one move now. I was planning to save it for later but it seems like that won't be possible."

Lub-Dub! Lub-dub!

In a flash, Leo had suddenly disappeared from his original position for a split second before reappearing again with Laura in his arms. He quickly brought out a potion vial with some liquid inside and he placed it over her wound.

Her current situation was not looking good right now. A neck injury in any case was very dangerous and particularly difficult to heal. Leo stopped after he had paused the bleeding and he then turned to place Laura down on the borders of the arena with a blank expression on his face that was filled with expressionless rage.

He raised his head and slowly spoke to Quinn as he laid her down, "Many years ago, my father left me. He died trying to protect the villagers from our village who were being unfairly treated due to being from another nation."

"Before he left, he passed that torch onto me. I will now take revenge," he continued as he brought out his right thumb and his fingers held it tightly. Crack!

Immediately, all his killing intent was released and he no longer held back.

Shock filled Quinn as he realized that the person that he was fighting was still holding back this whole time. The purity of the killing intent was so dense that it physically materialised making a small dome around Leo that spread to about fifteen meters tall.

Even the ladies who were watching from the hill has shock written all over their faces. Pwea was absolutely amazed by the sight while Wenella was filled with concern as she realized how truly mysterious this group was.

"Is this why you told me to stay here?" Wenella asked to Aurora curiously.

"Yup!" Aurora replied with a happy smile as she looked over the hill and spoke, "He carries the burden of all the villagers in our village."

Boom!

A loud boom was heard as the ground cracked where Leo was initially standing as he dashed at Quinn at an extremely fast speed and sent a punch towards him.

A shockingly surprised expression appeared on Quinn face again. Leo dashed at him so fast that he only had time to place his spear infront if him to block the punch.

The blow felt like a herd of elephants had just stamped on the spear. Unable to fully hold the force, he was forced to retreat a few steps with disbelief written all over his face.

"I have grown tired of you, say your last words now," Leo spoke as he brought his sword again. And as he infused energy, this time he added his nether energy into it. Immediately, the sword began to glow with darkness as red energy seemed to splash along the surface of the sword as a fearsome energy was distributed. Everything suddenly seemed to be outshone as a cloud of stardust appeared behind Leo which was so large that it was visible even from the hill.

"What is this!?" Quinn cried out in alarm as the art seemed similar but the difference of the energy radiated from them were like a droplet to an ocean.

"This art is called David's Aksi: Nether Variant," Leo replied as he took a slashing stance.

"I refuse to lose! Take my Raiton Railgun!" Quinn confidently replied as he took his spear and began gathering up a monster amount of energy.

Small holes appeared all over the ground as wisps of the energy of these arts escaped to the ground.

Boom!

Cracks formed all over the ground as both fighters dashed forward and in the blink of an eye both of them met.

Zzzzz! Sssss! BOOOOM!

A deafening boom sounded as a large opaque dome of white pure energy that was the thrice the size of the arena formed. All trees and remaining buildings in the sect shook and rumbled like they were mad as the energy forced a huge gust of wind to sweep like an almighty broomstick across the whole surrounding area, sweeping up dust everywhere.

Slowly the whole energy dome cleared, revealing Leo who was holding a sword in a position of a completed slash. In front of him, Quinn was frozen in place. His body was full covered in a gray color. Disbelief was completely written all over his face.

Clang!

A long heavy spear met the ground lifelessly as rust filled its body and Quinn's body slowly began to crack up into tiny pieces and disintegrate as it was carried off by the wind.

"From dust you were created and to dust you will return," Leo spoke slowly as he made his way to Laura.

She was still unconscious but her life was a bit more stable.

The only reason why she was able to survive the energy of the attack was due to Leo infusing a wisp of nether energy into her body causing the energy to do no damage to her.

He quickly made sure to leave no other section elders alive and then lifted her up and they made their way to the hill.
