Yu Yanlin shook his head and sighed, "I don't believe anywhere will be safe. I fear that things might soon spiral out of hand."
It was then they started catching a commotion unraveling outside. Zhang Wang's expression fell, he bolted out of the room in alarm, looking around to catch either gossip or sight of what was going on.
Yu Yanlin was behind him and Kai Kulan, having regained at least a fraction of his strengths had joined them on the balcony and was looking around for answers. Zhang Wang's eyes ignored the chaos unfolding within the fortress and instead turned his gaze to the horizon. What should have been midnight black was a spectacle with glittering lights and distant thunder. There were blues and golds, clashing and roaring like a lion and tiger locked in battle.
