Zhang Wang woke up with a start. Whatever dreams that haunted him had him jump and his heart race. He veered around in a panic, disorientated and saw that Yu Yanlin was the door, voice low and talking to someone.
From the awkward angle, he could make out that it was Chu Changying.
"Zhang Wang?" Chu Changying perked up, noticing that he was awake. She then looked back at the demon king, "You two ought to get out of here. Now. I have a bad feeling about this."
Yu Yanlin seemed to hesitate but eventually, he stepped aside, allowed Chu Changying entrance. His Shijie bounded over in a rush, "Zhang Wang," she said again, voice terse.
"What?" His voice was still hoarse with sleep, dreary eyes blinking in confusion, "What's going on? Why are we leaving?"
Something sparkled in her eyes then, "Yes, actually, I will come with you as well. Now hurry, get a move on!"
