"Daddy... can't I? " 'Come on old man! Give me some credit for my wonderful service today!' Its been two hours since the presumed incident. Ava is stuck on the soft maroon sofa glaring at the man who is sitting opposite of her. Robert looks at her sternly for the first time. He believes that even if he did tells her about the secret of the light statue, his daughter wouldn't understand the significance of it. In another word, his daughter is a clueless idiot...and he is regretting it... There is nothing he can do...
"Rya, daddy wants you to put..." He really wants to urge his daughter to put it back but noticing tears leaking at the corner of her eyes is enough to alleviate him to give it to her. For a long time, finally, someone can inherit the heirloom and she is the right person to obtain what is her's. For an individual to at least receives a blessing is enough to show that he/she is the right person to lead the Lilacs. For some reason, he is confused as to why the statue chooses the girl out of thousands more...
He could not control fate. Furthermore, the statue won't let anyone change the destiny of its heirs. Robert gazes at the girl contemporary sighing in defeat. He doesn't know what is he suppose to do. He stands from the smooth couch, walks over to the stacks of books before pulling a piece of white unstained paper. The black inks accompanying the feathery pen. After a while, the paper is filled with ancient messages and is kept in an envelope. Ava watches the process obediently playing the good child although she is raging to leave the high-pressure room. "This world is too hot for me! " She is dripping with sweats from not getting used to the heat. The underground base is a lot colder and breezier than the surface. To live in the outer world is quite hard for her to adjust.
Robert is too focused on the letter that he forgot the existence of the girl. His eyes snap in surprise when he sees the statue fixed on the table.
'Can I just die than waiting for you!' Are what she really wants to confess but considering the unfulfilled request, Ava kneeled her heart...
"It's okay if...me..." Robert stops her as he ringed the small bell indicate to calls in a servant. The main butler of lilacs enters the room with faithful manners. He has been serving for three generations starting from his young age. Every small servant in the house always respected this amazing figure and he is also one of the most trustworthy people out of the whole household.
Ava's eyes glint an evil light, peeking at the man through her silky black hair. This man is a total wolf in sheep clothing... Albert Fish! There is nothing special or good about him. If she thinks it over... Why is he not supporting the girl if he is a good person? He did not even budge at the sight of the abuses that she gets from her stepmother...! Such a hypocrite!
She recalls the disgusting dark eyes holing into her eyes like a snake watching its prey...To make it worst, this is the butler who exposed the secret affair to her mother. She doesn't know what is it that he is plotting but it sure won't be a good thing...
"What can I do for you, my lord..." The butler smiles politely bowing his head to show his respect. "Take this letter to the address written ... Make sure that it goes straight to its owner..." Robert orders with a sterned accent without glancing towards the other.
"Yes my lord I will make sure it arrives at the right place" the butler slips the letter with him and bows a second time before exiting the study. For a moment, Ava almost sees the evil glimpse from the balded man...
"Rya honey, I am sorry! ..." I totally forgot that you are still here! Ava looks toward the man in surprise. The man is holding her hands between his and staring at her with guilty eyes seeking forgiveness. Ava smirks in her heart 'You just notice me now!?' If she could dump him in a sea full of flaming lava and watches him die in the flows, that would be the greatest world's desire rather than conquering this stupid mission!
"It's okay, daddy... Me fine whenever you are..."
Robert watches the wide smile she gave. He sighs in his heart, palming his forehead for support. His eyes frequently aiming at the valuable statue. He grabs it and shoves towards the girl. "Here, take it" daddy hopes that you can take good care of it. He prays, hoping that all things will end well.
Ava's eyes sparkle in delight. Thank God, this man agreed with her pleading! Why is it so hard for her to get the statue in the first place!? Ava hugs the statue with dazzling eyes presenting the happiness she felt. "Thank you, daddy!" I really appreciate that you agree with my clearly a careless request! She screams secretly. It's nice to have someone that listens to you all the time.
Ava sprints off the room as if escaping a heated oven. Robert tries to reach and stop her, but for a moment his hand doesn't dare to touch even a strand of her hair. His body almost feels like he is possessed by a strange spirit. He knows that the girl is not someone he can obtain even if he sells his soul to the demons. Settles back on the leather chair, he brushes his hairs resting his head.
Robert stares at the ceiling in a daze mesmerising the history of his unrequited love with her beloved mother. He still remembers those words that hurt him. Stabbing and shattering his heart without an ounce of regret. All of the things that happen now is the result of his past mistake. He is distress about it! He thought to himself that if he takes cares of the girl his sins would be repaid but only he knows that it will never be enough! Seeing the same thing happens to the girl awakens his inner fear. Moreover, he knew that one day she would also leave him as her mother does. It would be the perfect ending to break off his last string of consciousness. After all, everything will shatter once more and his life will be destroyed again.
Warm liquids cross out of his eyes lining on his skin. He smiles on defeat. The girl cannot be caged anymore... But he will always protect her from the shadows and one day the girl would live a full life of her own...

BANG!
The door slams as a silhouette hopes towards her bed. "I finally got the stupid statue!..." The bed constantly creaks from the ugly dances presented to enjoy her first achievement. Her hips endlessly swinging as the long silky hairs swirls in the air.
"Yahoo! Guess who's back!" Ava grumbles in annoyance. She is still upset about him leaving her behind like that! Can't you just let her enjoy this moment for a while longer? Plus, the way he flaps his long curled-up lashes is strangely enough two times faster than the 'red embroidered fan' his 'all-time favourite' ...
Cheng circles the room for the first time. Since right after he left the mission for the girl to complete, he vanished in second without enjoying his moment here. Now is the time to appreciate the rich life of the nobles...
Cheng is an outright arrogant person who loves to enjoy a rich life. As he said, being a guardian is the worst thing ever happen to him and he is not proud of it. Still, if there is a moment where he can relish himself... He will! There is no backing off...nono!.. Shiny curtains and blinding chandelier. Big fluffy soft bed, Diamonds glittering everywhere... Yes, yes! This is what he is talking about...
While cheng is exploring her room, she sits on the bed crossing her arms in denial. It's a luck that she caught a big fish rather than small anchovies. That would be hard for her to continue the mission. She made a good choice to side with the man rather than the male lead. If she chooses to be with him, during this time she might still not know the location of the statue. Ava rubs her temple to the thought of her state if she really did that. That would be miserable...
"What are you thinking about?" Ava jerked her head towards the said guardian. She pursed her lips in irritation. "A guardian is supposed to protect and guide me, isn't it!?" Hearing this makes his ears itch. Cheng shoves it off his shoulders. He did protect her but in secret. Telling her will make the courage to lacks development. His work is to guide but at the same time teach her to the end. If she knew protection and safety, she won't have the bravery to face the worlds and fails the mission.
"Sulking will not buy you anything... Put it in your storage" Cheng points to the statue. Ava unlocks the screen and pushes the statue in it. Huffing in despair seeing that her sulkiness didn't affect Cheng at the least. "Let's go" He flies towards the enormous door, landing on the golden knob. "Come on! ... What are you waiting for!?" Ava rolls her eyes while dragging herself to the door. "Where are we going...?" She blows some strands of hairs out of her eyes. The skinned and boned fingers turn the knob as they exit the room. Cheng smiles knowing the answer to the thrown question.
"We are going to meet this world precious male lead..."
