Senju Araki informed his grandmother, Mito about all that happened. They used to travel a lot in the Land of Fire. Mostly living in small villages which had little to do with Shinobis. Ramatsu helped out some people in need, but mostly, he minded his own business. And that was to take care of Araki.
They even travelled through the forests, survived on fruits, and some animal's meat. Araki did feel that life was hard, but he was happy. Happy to be living with his father, hearing about the stories of his grandpa and granduncle.
At the young age of 4, Araki awakened a unique ability and informed his father that he could somehow sense mysterious life from the plants. It was like he loved the forests and found them really comforting. Even Ramatsu was startled when he heard about the ability from Araki.
Ramatsu taught him a few hand seals and asked him to perform a Jutsu. Araki hadn't even awakened his chakra at that point. However, the point of this Jutsu was to check whether the individual had the bloodline or not. At that time, Araki took his father's words at face value and performed tried his best at performing the Jutsu.
He failed for 3-4 times before a small twig rose from the ground. Its height wasn't even 2-3 cm, but it delighted Ramatsu more than anything!
Ramatsu didn't dare to think of such a possibility of his son awakening the Legendary Mokuton, the bloodline of his father!
One day, Ramatsu called out to Araki and told him that if he did die someday, Araki must not lose hope.
He further informed Araki that he must go to Konoha and become the Senju Clan's Head and also investigate his mother's death. At that time, Araki didn't care much about his father's words. For him, there was no chance that his father would die, right? As for becoming the head of Senju Clan, although he was proud of his clan, he had no interest in becoming a Clan Head. As for investigating his mother's death?
He didn't care much. He had never even seen his mother. He wasnt attached to her, so he didn't feel sad even when Ramatsu informed him that his mother was murdered.
However, when one time he had gone after a rabbit to hunt it. He managed to hunt it, but by the time he returned, his father was nowhere to be seen.
Araki used his unique ability to sense his father's location. Within the forest, he found that he could effortlessly locate someone with this ability. It felt like the forest was giving him instructions.
His father was quite far from their shack. Nearly 2-3 miles away. By the time Araki reached the place, he couldn't believe his eyes! His father was there with 3 blades embedded in his body, and a lifeless look in his eyes.
At that time, he ran towards his father's corpse and pulled out the blades which let out even more of his father's blood. Araki didn't even realise when a cut appeared on his hands while he was pulling out these blades from his father's corpse.
For the next hour, he continued to ask his father to wake up. To get up from there even though he had a faint suspicion that it was useless.
It was like the rabbit he had hunted. His father would never wake up.
As this realisation caught up with him, his tears fell on the ground. Slowly losing hope… To him, his entire life was turned upside down with this incident.
At that point, he remembered the words of his father. To go to the Hidden Village of Leaves. To Konoha!
After having travelled around for an entire month, living on nothing but raw fruits and vegetables which he found through his sensing ability, he finally reached Konoha.
Currently, he was lying in Mito's lap while narrating the whole story, embracing her tightly. After having narrated his whole story, he fell asleep in her embrace.
As Mito heard her grandson's story, she never showed anything other than the gentle smile on her face. She silently put him on the comfortable bed before getting up.
An ice-cold look appeared in her eyes as she looked out of the window of her room. From here, she could see, nearly half of the Konoha. This was the village her husband founded.
"It seems that no matter what happens, people will not treasure peace, husband. This was the last straw… I did not move when my first son died because it was war. Not moved when they killed Nawaki since it was war. I didn't make a move even when Rama-chan's wife died and let him leave to investigate his wife's death. But now… I have had enough!" Her each word was spoken with a bone-chilling cold voice.
"Since Hiruzen doesn't dare to investigate… I will take matters into my hands! Let's see if someone dares to kill my grandson now!" Mito was beyond infuriated. She was absolutely livid.
Araki felt really relaxed after putting out all his feelings, informing his grandma of all that happened. After a month, he could finally sleep in peace. Not at all worried about anything.
He had no idea that his grandmother was utterly enraged and was taking action! The first thing Mito did was wrote a letter to Hiruzen.
"Get me the assassins who killed my younger son Ramatsu! I don't care about their village or who they are, they must appear in front of my eyes within a week. Or else, I will just give a treat to Kyuubi. I wonder if a God of Shinobi like you can take on Kyuubi and win? Hashi could do it, I doubt about you though. And give a warning to Danzo, touch my grandson, I will bury him alive!"
The message frightened Hiruzen to no end. He knew what this meant, it has gone far past her tolerance. He had a faint suspicion that Ramatsu's wife's death was the work of the Hidden Village of Stone, Iwa Village. They probably hired some rogue ninja and had poisoned Ramatsu's wife. If Hiruzen had decided to listen to Ramatsu at that point and tried to investigate, he could have found the killer.
But Hiruzen didn't choose to do so. Why? Because he didn't feel that Ramatsu's wife was important enough that he must send his shinobis to investigate her death. There was also a chance that it could be a work of Iwa Shinobi and it could further aggravate the latter.
After Ramatsu found out that Konoha wouldn't even lift a finger to search for the killer of his wife's death, he decided to leave the village. It showed him just how ungrateful the Hokage can be. And there was not even a point of speaking to that war mongrel Danzo.
As Ramatsu left the village along with his son, Araki, he decided to investigate about the killer's identity by himself. He travelled to the Cloud, to Iwa, and then back to Konoha when Araki turned 2 years old.
