When John woke up, he was in the middle of what seemed like a rain forest. Around him were knocked down trees which his escape pod caused. He then began to look for his squad. As he was walking through the thick brush, he remembered back to the last few moments they were on the ship. He remembered seeing the enemy ship charging something that looked like a huge cannon. John knew that the ship would only take one hit and then they would be nothing but pieces floating in space. He ordered everyone into their escape pod immediately for evacuation and to aim down to the rimworld named Hades. After he had gotten into his escape pod, he blacked out as soon as it launched. not knowing if his squad got off or not. Looking back on that memory, John shivered thinking about the enemy ship. He then noticed that it was getting dark, and that he needed to find shelter because it sounded like there was a big storm coming. Luckily, he remembered back on his farm, where his father taught him how to make a makeshift hut and slept out in it all night. So john got to work and started to cut down a few trees. when he was done he decided to spend the night in the shelter and until the storm stopped. The next day, John decided that it was finally time to find his lost squad members. He thought he saw smoke coming from due north, so he decided that that was his best bet and started his trek up what seemed like a never ending mountain. But what he didn't know was that someone was watching him from a distance, waiting for the right time to move in.
