Arrived at: Bogghart's Lair]
"..."
"Here I thought we were actually getting somewhere, turns out we've walked right into the predators Jaws."
"What Bogghart?"
"It's the Dungeon Master. I think he used to be yours up until you somehow got out."
"Me strong, easy get out."
"If you're so strong can you fight the Dungeon Master?"
"He very strong?"
"Very strong."
"Hmmm.... Many xp?"
"He would give a lot of xp."
"Ok I fight."
"You know your crazy right?"
"You not want xp?"
"I do want xp, but that's not the reason I want him to die. I want to kill the son-of-a-bitch that killed my friends. Let's go."
The duo pushed the large door open and entered. They were met with a large, round stone table at the middle of a large stone room. At the center of the table was what looked like a large red orb.
"Mennok stop moving. Don't.Move. A muscle. "
"Ok, why?"
"I think that's the Dungeon Core. I've never actually seen one so I'm not sure but I've heard it can easily detect "intruders". Were basically intruding on the core right now."
"Why I not kill Dungeon core?"
"I heard it's quite hard to break, attacking it would reveal our location. Let's just Stealth our way through this." They both activated their Stealth skill and slowly walked past the Dungeon Core, making sure to not step on anything that would make a sound.
Once they had made it past the Dungeon Core they continued going through the Bogghart's Lair, making sure to turn every corner and check every crevice just in case traps were around, unaware of the fact that the Dungeon Master didn't actually bother in setting traps due to his massive ego. Empty room after empty room they checked, still finding nothing and no one.
By now they Jenny had begun to get even more nervous than before, while Mennok's curiosity had peaked. When was this thing going to jump at them, how was it going to do it?
While Jenny was opening a door she began to smell something terrible. Something rank that smelt like a mixture of iron and something else. Then she came to the realisation that it wasn't iron that she was smelling, but instead it was blood. She stepped away from the door and went behind Mennok who had moved forward and began opening the door. He could also smell the stench coming from the other side of the door, which made him even more excited than he already was.
After finally opening the door they saw many creatures which looked to be Lobroks laying on the ground with bones right next to them. Some bones were small and some large, which reinforced the idea that Lobroks were natural pack animals which together can hunt lots of prey.
Mennok and Jenny reactivated Stealth again and went back to the room behind to plan the safest route. After going through it many times and also peeking back into the Lobrok room to check if any had changed their sleeping placement, they entered the room again and began walking. They walked through two Lobrok on the left and then a sharp turn to the right. They decided to choose the longer route because it was much safer and they didn't want to risk their lives even further. After a few minutes of walking on ice coupled with a few close calls, they finally managed to pass the sleeping Lobrok pack and had arrived at the next door.
"You open this one Mennok."
He opened the door with his right hand and his sword in his left slowly so that the door wouldn't make any noise while opening. For some reason he felt that he was much comfortable with using his left hand rather than his right, so he held the sword with it.
Before he could fully open the door he heard a low growl from the other side and the door was broken down, pushing him back a meter. What came out of the door was a very large Lobrok, probably the largest one they've ever seen. It opened its mouth and roared loudly, alerting the other Lobrok of the intruders presence.
"
everything except Jenny had been blinded by a white light, sending the Lobrok's into a frenzy. Mennok couldn't see either, so he held his sword in front with both hands and ran at his top speed, hoping to avoid the large Lobrok and run away. He had been running so far and thought that he had gotten away, until his sword made contact with something and dug deep.
[Bleeding effect activated]
[You have slain level 17 Alpha Lobrok]
[Level up!]
[Level up!]
The thing that he had just hit slumped to the ground and Mennok climbed over it, going to back to "run for your life" speed. The light faded away and he could hear howling from behind him so he kept running until he saw Jenny was also running Infront of him. After a few seconds he had already caught up to her because she was pretty slow, so he picked her up in his arms and continued.
"What are you doing?! Get your hands off of me you pervert!"
"You slow, you die. Thank me later."
Jenny looked back and began casting light after light while Mennok ran, trying her best to slow the hungry and vengeful pack of Lobrok.
At the end of the tunnel Jenny could see the path leading to a broken stone bridge which lead to the other side. It looked like the stone in the middle had fell off so the only way to get to the other side is by jumping.
"Mennok when I tell you to jump jump ok?"
"Why?"
"Just do it when I tell you!"
"Ok."
When Mennok was very close to the bridge Jenny began a countdown.
"When I say go Jump ok? 3...2...1... Go!"
And they Jumped.
