It was one of those days when I woke up little late and got prepared to leave in search of my mate. We have almost lost hope and today was the last day we will just look for her in a few cities in a corner of India. Ray was ready and patted me gently on my back saying, "Don't lose hope Don,if she is destined to be yours, we will definitely find her. It's matter of time." I rolled my eyes and snapped at him, "we have searched almost every corner of the world Ray! And you still see any hope?"
We both sighed and left for our last day of the search. If we don't find her today we have to summon Marshal for help and father won't be very happy to know that we have not succeeded yet.
Mia's Version---
We have moved to a small city Sherrill which is located in Oneida County, New York. It is a very small city with a population not more than 3100 and hence is a peaceful place, at least that what it seems. Me, Natasha and Ron are staying together here. It was Natasha's idea to move here since she got a job after completing her graduation last month. There was a Big estate here, a pretty old and vast one called the Royals Estates. There were huge lands of coffee plantations and large Vine yards. Natasha was appointed as a senior care taker of the estate and the Manager of the estate was kind enough to also take me in as one of the cooks of the Royal Mansion, thanks to my cooking skills. We stayed in one of the many wings at the back side of the Mansion. It has many rooms out of which we are using 2. The room in which I am staying is a huge room made out of beautifully curved stone slabs. There are four huge pillars in the four corners of the room. There are golden vines and leaves spread on the borders and middle of the ceilings which are very high compared to other buildings of this century. The windows are big and are covered with glass, bordered with old and heavy wooden frames, which lead to a large part of the garden that surrounds the Mansion. Beyond that is the plantation with a backdrop of small hills. There is a small porch attached where I often relax at night dreaming about my prince. Sometimes I would lie down quietly in the warm water of the big ancient tub made of stone in the huge attached bathroom. I am happy here. We are happy.
It was already late in the evening and I was roaming in the garden watching the beautiful surroundings. Soon Natasha joined me after her work. We walked together in the garden. "Hey, Nat ! did you see that tomb over there?" I pointed towards an isolated old tomb near the fringe area of the forest. It was not easy to find and hence we couldn't spot it all these days. There were creepers and vines surrounding it like a python wrapping its prey.
"Yeah. Creepy! May be some broken part of this building. I heard that this mansion is pretty ancient." Nat replied.
"I want to see what's there." I said and run towards the tomb with Nat running after me. "wait Mi, It is not safe. There can be snacks! You may get hurt…wait" I heard Nat screaming.
I ignored her and ran as if the unknown was inviting me to open up it's deepest of treasures, deepest of secrets to me, only me!
Once I reached the tomb I brushed my fingers on the ancient symbols and designs engraved on it and smiled like a child. There was a small lever and as I pushed it out of curiosity, the pillar moved to reveal a dark passage underneath. I was shocked and I turned to see Nat who has also reached there and was standing with her hands on her knees, breathing heavily and glaring at me.
" Mia, Let's Leave Now !" Nat snapped.
" Nat, Just look what I found, a secret passage, please let's check this ou…" Before I could say further, I slipped and fell inside, tumbling on the wide stairs of stones. I tried to grab the vines and climbers out of fear but I couldn't and I fell with a loud thud on a cold and wet floor. My palms and knee got scraped and I tried to look up towards the opening but soon my vision got blurred and I blacked out.
Marshal's Version—
Stalon was pacing nervously as I entered the Hall. He asked me to sit showing the chair. I could see the beads of sweat on his forehead. The worry was quite visible on his face. He sat quietly on the ancient throne looking at his sword and the symbol of the kingdom the horse engraved on it's hilt. After about a few minutes, he raised his head and looked at me straight in my eyes and commanded. " I want you to go to the human world and check for yourself. Now! "
I nodded in agreement. I know it has been almost more than eight months now and still we have no news from Gordon or Raymond, which means they couldn't find her out yet, Gordon's Mate. We all were worried now because If Mara discovers her first, she will not let her live so that there will remain no hope of her giving birth to Enamor. And we cannot let that happen. So it was necessary to find Gordon's mate fast and hide her from the world for her safety till Enamor is born. I decided to leave immediately.
" I shall leave now, your highness." I bowed to the King and left the hall.
As I left the palace gate, I found my ring glowing brightly. It was a message from Gordon. As I let the glowing rays fall on a pillar nearby, the message was clear. Gordon couldn't find his mate yet and he wanted me to help him. I sighed and left for human world as soon as I sent back a message to him, asking him to get back to our meeting place.
