The view of a setting sun never changed- not for a servant nor for a princess. However, the beat of wings and the coloured outlines of the magnificent beasts amplified the peace and fear felt by the commoners, more than the previous threat of a whip by their master. Instead they were faced with having to bathe and feed the tamed, smaller beasts in many an inn, tavern or farm as the threat of being the dragons' next meal frightened the humans until they evolved to provide trainers for the lesser beasties and commoners could leave to perform their tasks without the lesser beings being a main fear.
However, the development of trainers also brought darkness. Children rumoured to have these talents were stolen in the night, and the lesser beast tamers were scorned upon by an evolved royalty as they weren't as capable as those with royal blood who could tame the middle beasts. Thus the priveleged scorned the youth, and while lesser tamers were sought after, they were only sought after for common jobs like farming or breeding for the dragonpits.
The dragons brought mayhem, but mayhem turns to tranquility in the new Age of Dragons, where the youth are taught of new rules and may learn to cook with eggs much larger than the ones their parents grew up knowing. The youth was deprived of the old world, but the new world opened up the endless possibilities for those Fortunate smiled upon to breed lesser dragon tamers.
