Yianna is not liking this at all. After Lianna called, a slew of messages bombarded her, first from her mom who heard the account from her sister, her youngest sister, Rianna and then a bunch of friends asking the same things over and over again.
"Did you really get married to Lucas Star?"
Hearing that name multiple times from multiple people, it made her curse why God Put such a cross on her. In fact, with the way he was obsessed with himself and in screwing her mind, Yianna is wondering from which planet did he get kicked out from.
Wait. She is thinking about him again!!!. NO. NO. NO.............. Yianna is internally screaming her lungs out. A vow was made in the morning not to proactively think about the star whether positively or negatively. She was going well with the vow but all that effort went down the drain. She can't take this anymore.
Just then her stomach growled announcing its presence. Yianna had not eaten since lunch yesterday as she got stuck in a series of misfortune.
"OK. Lets get some nourishment in my poor stomach," she said loudly cheering herself up.
Walking to the pantry, a brainstorming session occurred inside her head as she scours through the available food.
What to make? What to make?
Pancake? Curry Rice? Steak? Hm... Steak it is.
Yianna has a habit of making things in bulk so that she doesn't have to cook later. The young woman took out the frozen cooked steak and boiled vegetables and heated it in the microwave. Placing the plates and cutlery on the table with a glass of wine ready on the table, she put on the SMART TV. Logging into Netflix, the half watched film appeared on the list. She pressed play. A fork of meat and vegetables went inside her mouth.
Ah!!! This is life.
But you know, life cannot be put in a box and say, this is it. Its full of unpredictable events and unacceptable circumstances. Its how we mold from it by changing the way we see life.
This came to be true in Yianna's case as she was feeling euphoric when her phone pinged. A message. Deciding to ignore it f/or the flavor pouring into her mouth, Yianna didn't open it. Then suddenly, an avalanche of messages hijacked her phone and it wouldn't stop pinging. A sense of uneasiness touched her heart. What is happening?
Then, suddenly her phone rang scaring the young Youtuber. She jumped in fright but calmed her heart a little while later. She creeped slowly to her phone and saw more than 100 notifications. Opening her phone Yianna saw it was an unidentified number calling her. A debate went inside her heart. Pros and Cons discussed whether she should take the call or not.
Deciding to face whatever is coming with head held high, Yianna swiped the call and heard a masculine voice on the other side.
"Hello, am I speaking to Yianna Mathews?"
"Yes", she answered reluctantly.
A sigh of relief was heard and the voice continued,
"Yianna, its me Edward Williams, Lucas Star's manager. We need to talk, immediately!!"
"Yes Edward, What is this about anyway?"
"I trust you have seen the news, Ms. Mathews," Edward started. "It seems the news about him marrying you has affected him and his career more than you can imagine. We need to clear this misunderstanding as soon as possible before even you get affected negatively from this, Yianna."
After a short pause, she agreed. An address of a cafe in New York was exchanged and the time for the meeting tomorrow was established before Yianna cut the call.
In between the call, ping after ping attacked her phone that she opened the notifications to see an avalanche of messages on her Youtube Channel. Opening it, Yianna felt shock from fear. More than 1000 of them, some of them hate messages threatening her to stop dating the Hollywood heartthrob, some supporting her and a few asking the question in pure curiosity,
'Are you really dating Lucas Star ?'
Silence filled the room but a loud boom of finality hammered hard on her on her brain. It seemed that the negative effects of this misunderstandings has really begun sooner than Edward had predicted.
What would she do? No, the better question is What should she do? It is not everyday that a person is stuck in this kind of a situation, that she never signed up for. Can this believer trust in God to guide her through the upcoming turmoils? To God, this is a test that will test the boundaries of faith in HIM. After all, it all began in church, right in front of him anyway.
