Chapter 1 - The Tower

The sun rained down rays of warmth as the people of new town began to stir awake and get ready for their day jobs. See it was 6:00 approximately when I could see my neighbor leave for his job, I looked out of my window to get a closer look at him and his was that of someone that absolutely hated every being of his job. I couldn't blame him he didn't have a diploma and most people without diplomas could only dream of a good job around here.

I crawled away from the window a sat back down on my bed and looked at the face clock again and watched as the clock ticked slowly and the time changed waiting for the time to approach 7:00. See It was the first day of high school and I was to nervous it to tbe point of not being able to sleep properly, so i simply played games the entire night. It's not like I'm tired or anything as of right now though but that must have been a lie because as I laid my head down on my pillow to stare at the ceiling my eyes slowly closed and I drifted to sleep.

Alex ! Alex ! Wake up already, I jolted awake as I could hear banging on my door and a female voice screaming my name, I jumped out of bed and nearly tripped as I ran to open the door. Yes mom ? I said as the door creaked open. Do you know what time it is ? My mom asked. Time to sleep ? She took her out of her pocket and showed me the time. The time showed showed 6:50. Do you plan to miss your first day of school ? I hurriedly closed the door and went to take a shower, I'll be in my way to school faster than the flash, don't worry mom. I threw my mom clothes off and jumped in the shower. It took me all of thirty seconds to finish ? Now you're probably thinking how did I take a shower thirty seconds, well I have my ways. I jumped out of the shower and threw on some a pair of khaki pants and a black long sleeve Spider-Man shirt and jogged down the stairs nearly tripping. I ran into the kitchen and grabbed and banana and ran out the front door as I checked my phone. 7 minutes to spare I said under my breath. I grabbed my bike as was nearly off before my mom yelled out behave at school, I know I know I responded and was off.

I peddled down 2 miles before I arrived at my school, it was fairly small and held grades k-12 so you could guess that the hallways got really backed up when transitioning classes. I brought my bike to the bike area and chained it up and went inside the school. As soon as I walked in the bright light nearly. blinded me, I could almost swear apollo gave power to these school lights. I brought out my schedule and saw my first class which is ethics. Room 202, room 202 i repeated in my head until I found it. I walked in and sat down in a desk near the back, as I sat down Iooked at the teacher, a fairly tall man, if I had to guess at least 5'9 and he looked of 150 pounds. He sported a look of a black suit which complemented his brown hair and glasses. I waited for class to began as people flooded the classroom and took their seats.

The teacher began to speak about what to expect for the class as more people came in and he explained what ethics is. I must've not been paying attention good enough because I forgot most of what he said, then again I nearly always forget stuff if it has to do with school. The day went on and I had my classes and went to lunch and finally last period approached, gym class. I hated gym classes, not because of exercises, but because of the contact with other people I never really liked to touch people and didn't like people touching me. I may sound ridiculous, but it's the truth. We played dodgeball and baseball for around an hour or so, and it was time to leave. But as we began to leave something terrible happened. The school began to shake and shudder and a bright light enveloped everyone and then we were gone.
