Chapter 104 - School Tests

The crowd slowly progressed forward. In a matter of 6 hours, it was Cyra's turn to step forward. She had to step on a plate that determined if she had the right to join the school or not.

After it lit up in green colors, she was forced to put her hand with the Bracelet into the machine. It scraped the antique and gave her another one embedded into her bones, and through her skin, she could access it with a simple tap.

After receiving her new Bracelet, she quickly left the registration area and headed to somewhere safer. She eventually spent her following days waiting on top of the building's overviewing the arriving people.

She has almost melted when she saw pandas walking on the streets to register. They looked so cute and fluffy that she could kill to get one for herself.

Two weeks later, the test area has opened; thus, everyone was allowed to enter inside the arena.

The Portal Inside the stadium was vastly different from the one above it as it was blue, while in the stadium, burning bloody red portals were standing.

They were the places of assignments that the students had to pass if they wished to join the school and become official students.

This process took precisely one day as more than a million students had entered the gates, teleporting them to a previously unknown region, confusing everyone present.

They were sent into a magma terrain for training on each circle a student stood. These circles were different from the rest of the ground as they could be said to be safe.

Around each circle stood six pillars of magma stones that were slowly rising from the ground, sitting on the middle of the circle allowed the students to cultivate. The immerse power inside the stones caused the students to break through multiple realms at once.

While Cyra was hardly able to progress her cultivation by one percent as absorbing one of the pillars after she absorbed it, the pillar crumbled, and the remains have melted into the ground, all 6 of these played similar effects.

After spending 6 hours, her cultivation had risen to 46%, allowing her to see farther away when she limited herself to the strength of Kir.

It seemed that the higher someone's original cultivation was, the more challenging it was for them to breakthrough realms. As such, these cultivation treasures, even though they were useful, were too few for Cyra to achieve any meaningful breakthrough.

When the 24 hours were up, Cyra and everyone else has been teleported outside. Those who passed stayed inside the stadium, while those who failed were thrown into the mist for a swim.

Cyra passed as she could not break through, even though she would have been much happier if Cyra were allowed to steal other pillars, yet she was trapped in her circle for 18 hours.

This elimination process quickly sorted out all those who were living everyday life, deeming them unworthy to enter the school.

The second test was similarly executed as the first one, the difference was that there were less than 200000 disciplines present, and among them, more than half of them were demons.

This fact broadly demonstrated that demons were the superior race, closely followed by the Demi-humans, and at last place, only one-tenth of the students were humans.

But even among these humans, some sacrificed their humanity and turned into demons to get accepted into the school.

It was a sad reality, but as cultivators, humanity was vastly inferior to other races. As such, they were forced to be a minority in the school.

The Second Test was a sort of run for your life test. They were randomly spread through a deserted area.

The moment some of them began walking around, giant earth dragons emerged from the grounds hunting those who were stupid enough to move. Yet, those who didn't move an inch were untouched as such. The numbers once again turned to the demon's favor as clearly none of them were affected by its presence, but the Demi-humans were eliminated almost all of them.

After the second test ended, roughly 90% of the students were demons, 9% humans, and 1% Demi-humans among the 100 000 remaining students.

The third test was similarly executed as the first one, each of the students arrived at a circle, but they were high up in the air this time.

Their only goal was to hunt flying creatures for points. One flying creature equaled 1 pt; their representative factions would greatly reward those who got the most points.

Cyra quickly caught around ten flying creatures allowing her to gain 20 000 points in few seconds.

Afterward, she consumed them one by one as her acid allowed her to digest the strength creatures allowing her strength to rise significantly.

During the first 24 hours, she managed to eat 15 Flying creatures giving her 30 000 points. The second day was even better as this time she got used to eating them. With the help of alcohol, she managed to eat another 25, and on the final day of the challenge, she at 40, allowing her to get 160000 points, not to mention her cultivation has risen by 10%, pushing her to 56%.

After leaving the Portal, the top 10 000 were allowed to stay, those who reached this far became unofficial students, and those in the top 10 000 were official students.

Cyra was one of the last people who came outside the Portal. As such, she was last in line. She wasn't that much bothered by it as she had a great harvest.

"Everyone places your hands on the redeemer, and it will send your points to your representative factions, be it Demon, Human, or Demi-Human you're allowed to decide which one you wish to join!" Announced a teacher as she looked over the newly arrived demons, she her self was a lightning demon.

As the students placed their hands on the redeemer, it announced their points and ranking to everyone present.

At present, there were 6000 demons, 3000 Demi-Humans, and 1000 Humans.

Demon Faction Points: 70 321

Demi-Human Faction Points: 37 843

Human Faction Points: 11 890

Halfway into the process, a young Royal Fire Demon with purple eyes stepped forward and redeemed his Bracelet.

- New Number One, Zayne Infernus, 13 000 points -

- New Number One, Zayne Infernus, 13 000 points -

- New Number One, Zayne Infernus, 13 000 points -

The demon faction point quickly turned from 76 890 to 89 890, allowing them to hold first place firmly.

Not long afterward, the humans were left behind even more as even the turned would rather side with the demons than their original race.

Soon another shocking change has happened as a Royal Frost Demon stepped forward with Light Blue Eyes.

- New Number Two, Keith Sybrid, 11 500 Points -

- New Number Two, Keith Sybrid, 11 500 Points -

With this hit, the demon faction was well over 100000 points securing their first place and gaining a glorious amount of points.

All over the school, the demons who watched the selection were cheering to the freshmen as they upheld their glory.

"Looks like this year, our faction will be even stronger thanks to these two demonic geniuses!" Said one of the male demons standing next to headteacher Annabel.

"Indeed, but it's truly unexpected to find 2 Royal Demons in this year. Zayne is an exceptional talent to be able to get purple eyes at such a young age!" Declared Annabel.

"It's a good thing. Zayne might be able to help Kaith on the road towards the right path. It's a blessing they came together!" Added another demonic creature.

"They are indeed exceptional, but the rest is still too young. Most of the youngsters have white eyes such a shame!" Pointed out another Teacher.

Their eye color meant everything for demons, as their eye colors represented their experience, world view, heart, and wisdom.

Most of the teachers has possessed dark blue eyes, while only Annabel had purple, while blue eyes represented goodwill and purity; starting from purple eyes, it was possible that the demon you were facing would attack you any moment.

The purple eyes were superior to that of a dark blue, allowing the other demons to feel safe around them as they were Embassies among their kind, leaders of their species.

Finally, as one of the last students, it was Cyra's turn. As she stepped forward, the announcement once again appeared. At first glance, she looked like a turned human.

- New Number One, Cyra Ember, 160 000 points -

- New Number One, Cyra Ember, 160 000 points -

The Head Teachers' eyes widened from shock. The headteacher of the human's Peter, immediately appeared before Cyra, "What do you want for your points?"

"What are you doing?" Screamed Annabel as she appeared next to Peter. She was furious that a human would resort to such a pity trickery to get first place.

"That's my business, so little one, what do you want for your points? My faction is in grave need of them! Smiled Peter as he looked at Cyra. He was trying to scare her.

Un bugged by his efforts, Cyra said, "Who ever gives me the more cultivation resources will win my points!"

This declaration shocked both of them as gaining this many points wasn't that hard as someone who had special abilities.

They were stunned as Peter expected his frightening to work, while Annabel wasn't expected a turn to be able to talk to her.

"You are not joining?" Inquired Cyra as she looked at the demi-humans headteacher. He much resembled a bear.

"I can't, even though there is a rule students can choose that only applies if they have the blood of the races, you don't have Demi-human blood as such I'm powerless!" Explained the bear, Mr.Villi.

"Sooooooo, who offers more?" Said Cyra as she released a sweet smile waiting for their reaction.

"Sigh... Mazi Crystals, the only headteacher, receive them as they are precious cultivation resources for deities! I will give you four if you give us your points!" Annabel tried to be as lovely as possible to earn Cyra's trust.

While Peter was playing at Cyra greed and directly took out 10 of them, he would earn even more of these from the teacher's best!

"I accept Head Teacher Peter Offer!" Declared Cyra as she took the Mazi Crystals and quickly placed them inside her body.

Peter was looking smugly at Annabel as it was sure that he would win their bets this time around with this deal for the first place.

Not long afterward, another announcement rang out across the arena, shocking everyone to the core.

- Congratulations to the demon faction for gaining 300 000 points -

- Congratulations to the demon faction for gaining 300 000 points -

- Congratulations to the demon faction for gaining 300 000 points -

Peter Smug's face was frozen as he looked at the announcement, then his expression turned to livid as he looked at Cyra. "You lied to me! Give back my Crystals now!"

"Lied about what?" Asked Cyra with a strange expression, playing the innocent.

"We made a deal and went back on your word, as your faction head, I order you to give back my Crystals!" Screamed Peter at Cyra.

"Faction Head?" This puzzling question further enraged the already fuming Peter.

"You damned turned, you are a traitor of humanity, just like those others turned! How dare you talk back to me?" Screamed Peter as he was about to explode.

"I'm a demon..." Said Cyra as her wings have to torn apart her robes, her separated hands torn of her skin, while her horns and tails rose out of her body.
