Chapter 98 - 1000 years in prison VII

While they were waiting, Cyra also spent a lot of time observing her kill her boredom and entertain herself.

It seemed that the woman was master of disguise and could smile all day long without any problems, but it wasn't her true self, but Cyra wasn't bothered that much by it as every mask will come to light eventually even hers were drawing near with each passing year.

Cyra next guest had an even higher status than the previous nobleman, the air around this man seemed to be different, she couldn't quite describe it, but it was something else, maybe his dementor.

At first look, he looked just like everyone, another cultivator who has walked by them. What made a difference are the small details that were hardly noticeable.

He was wearing a black robe just like many ordinary people, but there was a golden line at every edge of the robe. It was incredibly tin that it was almost invisible, yet it was still there.

There were three rings on his left, while his right hand was missing a bracelet, he must have taken it off to come here incognito.

There was also his eyes. His iris was incredibly strange as it was glowing with a bone white color.

Ha talked even less, just put a golden seal on the table, pushed it towards Cyra, and waited for her to examine. "What's this?" Cyra had to ask as she was utterly clueless about what she was looking at at the moment.

Eve picked up the seal and played with it in her hands. With an amused expression, she handed it Cyra then began to explain. "It's the late Emperor Seal. It is said that this ancient artifact was given from father to son in the ruling line of the royal family. This artifact uses Natural Essence and is capable of unleashing a Frost Nova that could in theory deep freeze a whole level."

Cyra was surprised to gain such a treasure and happily handed over a Shadow Crystal. She then quickly hid the seal and pulled out one of the five Glaives recently received.

It was a weapon of absolute perfection with one giant blade on top of the pole and a smaller one at the bottom.

Soon, two days passed, and the previous buyer returned to Cyra with a red face and gave Cyra and her company an Icy stare as he walked towards them. "You sold me a fake! Give me back the seal, or give me a real one, you damn little insect!"

Eve was shocked because what Cyra was selling was the real stuff. Eve herself was the living example of that! How could it not work? Before she could ask, Cyra handed the man another Shadow Crystal as if it was nothing. At this, she turned towards her and wondered why she would give in so easily?

For Cyra, this was also an interesting situation as the person used up the previous Shadow Stone it just that its energy was simply wasn't enough to revive the thing that the person wanted.

There it was one day after the person left, his desires assaulted Cyra. I swear that I will massacre everyone at the Lonely Road if this fails again! I would be a prince, the original crown prince. If that scum didn't murder my father, everything could have been mine. It doesn't matter. As long as I can revive my father and regain our glory, everything could be solved!

After receiving the desire, it didn't even take 3 minutes until a figure was standing in front of Cyra. She couldn't even see through him.

"Greetings to the Beast." Said the older man as he used Natural Essence and formed a throne of ice by Cyra table.

"Let me guess the family reunion didn't go as he had planned?" Hinted Cyra for the person as she checked him out.

Unlike the son, the father had a ruler's actual bearing, yet the darkness was also present Cyra could feel his hatred.

Even before Cyra could ask, he spoke. "If you wonder what to call me, you can call me Frost Emperor. This name represents both my name and strength!" Said Frost as he clenched his fists.

"Why did you kill your son?" Asked Cyra.

"He is immature while I also got a better offer from you, it's just better than trying to build an empire from scratch." Said Frost as he fixed his eyes on Cyra.

Cyra's Last visitor came two weeks later. He was another strong man, a soldier. It is evident for anyone who looked at him as he had his cultivator weapons while also wielding guns.

As he walked in front of the group of 4, he immediately noticed that he couldn't see through the Frosty older man. This fact gave him a happy surprise as such it meant that it's less likely that they try to scam him.

He made the first move, eventually asking, "Who has my Crystal?" All of them looked at Cyra as if they were waiting for her commands.

Even Ana had to fall in line for now as being next to Cyra wasn't an issue, but the Frost emperor was an immediate danger, and she wasn't willing to die because of something so stupid.

Without waiting much, the man took a seat and introduced himself, "I'm general Helix. I need one of your Crystals!" He carefully took out a package and unfolded it before their eyes.

The Frost Emperor couldn't help but widen his eyes as he looked at the item before them. "That-that is the ring of life!?"

"Seems like it, even I heard tales about this item, as long as you have this ring, your injuries will regenerate as it is filled with Pure Essence." Explained Eve as she looked at the ring with greedy eyes. After all, it was a powerful artifact.

Upon hearing her explanation, Ana could only blink while Cyra was the first time she thought of rejecting an offer. Still, before she could speak up, the man quickly added, "If it's not enough, I can offer my very life as a payment; if I return, I will follow you even in Death!"

This statement was a bold one, yet it managed to sparkle Cyra's curiosity, "Who is this loved one that your willing to sacrifice so much for?"

"Loved one?" The man couldn't help but laugh at that silly question. "Kid, I don't want to bring back my loved ones. They have suffered enough already! I want to revive my worst enemy to get back something that I lost all those years ago!"

"Fine, for your life and the ring, I agree!" Said Cyra as she handed him a Shadow Crystal, then turned to the rest, "Which one of you can tell me how strong this thing regenerative abilities are?"

Ana spoke first, "If it's true that ring, even I have heard tales of its existence, it is said that even if you were missing half of your body, it could regenerate to you to your best shape in a matter of minutes!"

"Wow, that's great. Finally, I can fight Azrail to my heart content. Looks like this thing is useful after all!" Said Cyra with a Gentle Smile.

Soon Helix's desire appeared before Cyra as she was waiting for his return, "It's not possible to walk away from such a thing unscarred, I wish to fight you again! My greatest rival of all time! Without you, I miss something. With your death, a part of me also died! I wish to reclaim that part. I wish to relive my glorious day, my victory, and regain the power that I have lost!"

Helix wasn't lying as it seemed, and he indeed revived someone or something that he has hated to the core.

Soon Helix came back with a bloody scar on his body, it seemed like he was significantly injured, but his will to repay Cyra was more vital than everything.

Cyra pushed a Ball of Shadow Essence into his body, and he slowly began to heal. "Frost, how strong is he?"

"Divine Deity, both him and Eve are there, they standing at the doorstep." Explained Frost with a faint smile. It seemed that based on Cyra's memories, he was the strongest among them.

Since Cyra already got an Emperor, she wasn't willing to wait any longer and teleported them to the shrine of death. Then without saying a word, she pulled Frost away. She was eager to cultivate under his pressure.

In the meantime, she also declared that only her closest people could call her Cyra, and everyone else must address her as Founder of the beast. Also, if this order was broken, it must be punished by death.

She sat between the statues and commanded Frost to release his pressure on her body so she could cultivate.

Even under such pressure, it took her 333 years to break through from Conqueror Saka to Nogais.

[Phase 1] -> [Phase 2]

During these years, Cyra breakthrough was delayed because the moment she was about to break through, she turned into death, and the previously present Shadow Essence that was holding together the body turned into Dark Matter, the dark mist that was previously present has completely disappeared and was now even more stable but without a trace of darkness.

Dark matter is completely invisible and could only be detected on a galactic scale. Furthermore, Cyra also gained the ability to pull and push with the Shadow Essence, allowing her to affect Soul Essence.

In this state, depending on her size, she could lift the souls out of the bodies for a short amount of time.

With 84 Years remaining, the day of her release was rapidly getting closer. As such, she took Frost and appeared right at the place where she first appeared all those years ago.

This approach happened because Cyra was away for a long time, and she wished to walk around the sect while also showing Frost around after she made him stay with her for such a long time.

As they were flying around, Cyra realized just how chaotic her sect was. The wastelands were an incarnation of hell as the undead were wandering.

It seemed that she missed many things as she could sometimes hear the undead murmuring tales of the monstrous creatures in the sect.

The Witch: Daughter of Ankuj, Nightmare of the wastelands, run far, run fast, run as long as you can if you can't, then it doesn't matter anymore.

Cyra easily located this so-called witch, and oh lord, it was creepy, she was hunting down the weak undead by her undead nightmare hawks.

It seemed like she was tasked with cleaning away the weak undead that couldn't enter the sect territories.

Cyra's attention was eventually drawn away from the witch as they reached one of the shrines. High up in the air, ghostly figures were watching down on them.

They did not possess heads, only two giant arms, and a body. It seemed their lower half's were also missing for some reason.

The two of them eventually heard another tale, yet this one seemed to be more of a prayer than the previous one.

"Oh great overseers The Watchers of the shrines, flying up in the sky I wish to enter your shrine, you do not hear, you do not feel, but you will feel my fear." A group of undead was praying as they slowly walked closer to the shrine.
