"Okay host, what is your next goal?" Lucus smiled intently as he thought about his next goal. "System, I want to become rich in credits."
"Goal registered. Would the host like to enter a sub goal?" Lucus thought about it, "Yes I would. I would like to set up a base of operations." Lucus grinned, after he had set up a base of operations and acquired enough credits, he could do whatever he wanted. Although he was still cautious of the magic that seemed to be abundant in this world, he would just ask Nilis about it. After he gained enough information about it, he would determine how much of a threat it would be and go from there.
"Sub goal registered. New Mission, Become Nilis' right hand man. Rewards, 400 credits and 10 exp. New Mission, Set up a base of operations under Nilis' barn discreetly. Rewards: 2000 credits and 40 exp. Does the host choose to accept these missions?" Lucus smiled, "Of course."
Lucus hid his assault rifle and ammo under the bed in his room. He then walked downstairs and saw Nilis sitting there reading a thick leather book. "Nilis, can I talk to you?" asked Lucus. "Sure bud. Whatd'ya need?" Lucus wanted to ask about magic, but not look like a fool while doing it. "I have a few questions. I seem to have lost some of my memory, and I can't remember anything about magic. Can you give me a refresher?" Nilis raised an eyebrow, "Sure thing bud." Nilis gestured for Lucus to come and sit down.
Nilis explained to Lucus the principles of magic. There are three sections to magic, Elemental, Void, and Ethereal. Each section is divided into a further three sections. Elemental has Earth, Fire, and Water magic. Void magic is divided into Space, Time, and Dark magic. And Ethereal magic is divided into Light, Healing, and Holy magic.
"Void magic is by far the most powerful of the three types of magic, yet mages range few and far between. The most common is Elemental magic, making up 90% of mages." Lucus nodded intently as he digested the new information.
Nilis continued, "There are 11 tiers or ranks for mages. Each one corresponds to their proficiency in their section and sub section. For example, a 3rd rank Elemental mage is also ranked third in one of the three subsections. I myself happen to be a 2nd rank Elemental mage, most proficient in water." Lucus nodded once more, "How powerful is magic?"
"Magic is the most powerful thing there is, it has the power to change, sculpt, and create. It is the driving force of Enos. The entire Plytos religion is centered around it. It's very powerful." Lucus had yet to see the full extent of magic, so he decided to hold off on making a decision.
"Papa, dinner is ready." said Rosaleia as she walked out of the kitchen and into the living space. The dinner was simple, it was mutton with an assortment of vegetables and leaves. Lucus enjoyed it, though felt it was a bit bland.
After dinner, almost everyone had gone to bed. Lucus went to his room and inspected his rifle once more. He slung it around his back and took a few rounds of ammunition with him and sneakily made his way out to the barn.
It was sundown, and it was quiet. He had to set up an underground facility that would act as his base of operations. It would be here that he would plan and produce everything he needed for his newest goal. World Domination.
A few hours and 78 coins later, Lucus had a fully functioning base under Nilis' barn. Lucus smiled as he sat down at his futuristic command console, and looked at the vast array of screens that sat on display before him. The system had provided most of the equipment, and the rest he had to buy. Though, most of it was relatively inexpensive since the system considered it outdated technology. The technology Lucus had in his lair was years ahead of anything they had on earth. The only thing that got him down was his severe lack of credits.
"Congrats host, you completed a mission. Your reward is 2000 credits and 40 exp. Do you accept?" Lucus smiled, "I do." Instantly, he received the rewards and felt a change. "System, stats."

Lucus smiled as he looked upon his new stats, He was determined to rule with this world with an iron fist. It would soon all be his.
"System, I would like to enter my next sub goal. To acquire an army." "Goal registered. New Mission! Create an 3000 strong android army equipped with weapons equivalent to 2030 Earth. Rewards, 10000 credits, 70 exp, 1 free battle angel." Lucus looked puzzled, not only was he confused about the generous rewards, he was also curious as to what a battle angel was. "System, what's a battle angel?" "Host, a battle angel is a master of warcraft. They are loyal subordinates that only follow your commands. They are masters at everything that has to deal with warfare and combat. Host can purchase one via the store, but they are quite expensive. The cheapest one will cost the host close to ten million credits." "So much! These battle angels must be worth it."
Lucus pulled out his smartphone and noticed it was almost 4 in the morning. "Shoot. Nilis is going to wake me up soon, I better hurry back to my room."
Lucus shut down everything in his lair and quickly exited the barn. Quietly, he crept through the vegetation surrounding the cottage. He soon heard a person walking. Their footsteps were light, and they seemed to whisper a quiet song. Lucus pulled his assault rifle off of his back and aimed it in the direction of the sound. He slowly, and quietly peeked his head out of the vegetation and looked at the source of the sound.
There sat the beautiful Herlicia, silently dancing in the moonlight. Lucus couldn't help but watch her, she was stunning.
Lucus listened to every sweet word that she sang, hanging on to each one and treating it as if it were a precious flower. To Lucus, everything about Herlicia was perfect. From her dark brown hair, to her pointy ears, to her face covered with freckles. Although he had only spoken a few words to her, she encapsulated him. But, he wouldn't go so far as to say he loved her, as he had only just met her. This wasn't the intense love that Romeo and Juliet had, this was the type of love two high schoolers would have.
Lucus looked at her with awe, as she sang, building up the courage to talk to her, while also trying to come up with an excuse for being out this late.
"How's there?" Herlicia suddenly asked in a calm voice. Lucus took a deep breath and slowly stepped out. "Hey." Lucus said in an awkward tone. "What are you doing out here so late, was it to spy on me?" herlica asked suspiciously. "Ah, ahem, no. I was merely trying to familiarize myself with your farm so I would be able to properly help your father tomorrow. I was heading back inside when I happened to hear you singing.
"I saw you in the bushes, so I guessed you came from the barn." Lucus smiled, 'she bought it, I'm an excellent liar.' he thought. "Your voice is amazing." Herlicia smiled, "Thank you, my mother taught me before she passed." "I'm sorry." Herlicia smiled, "She was the best. She and father taught me everything I know." Lucus looked up at the moon, remembering his own parents, and how he hardly did anything with them. "It's good you treasure those things your parents gave you. I wish I would've done the same. But sadly it's too late for me, As I'll never see them again." Herlicia looked at Lucus, "I'm sorry." Lucus smiled, "I am too." A dreary silence filled air. 'Sir Lucus, where are you from?"
Lucus looked back at Herlicia, "A place very far from here."
