Lu Cong had gone for four days now, and for Zhao Ling it was like a lifetime, she realised how empty her life became after Lu Cong left but Lu Cong and she were in constant touch video calling eachother and talking to eachother but the problem in New York was much bigger than they had anticipated to be. It turned out that his parents house was deliberately set on fire and they were still investigating it.
Lu Cong had appointed two bodyguards for her twenty four seven.
They were called Guo and Wu and she was followed by them everywhere.
On the fifth day in afternoon,she was sitting in her office working on her client's case when her assistant knocked in and said that someone important was here to meet her. Telling her to bring them in, she saw her father walk in with four gaurds and his assistant.
Looking at him after a year was a bit emotional for her but she was on her gaurd, standing up she was clearly giving them a hostile look but ignoring her, father Tang sat on the chair opposite her as he said.
"So my daughter, it's a pleasure to meet you again......I have been inviting you to come back to manor but you were pretty adamant on not coming back."
"Dad, I am not coming back I have a place to stay and I am happy there."
As she gave him a sharp reply his lips turned into a straight line but after a minute he controlled his feelings and once again smiled saying.
"I don't mind if you don't come back, I am just happy to see you so I have a brought champagne for us let's toast to you coming back....just like before."
When he said this she couldn't believe what was happening as the tears started streaming from Zhao Ling's eyes, she hastily rubbed her cheeks and her eyes.
Quickly standing up Zhao Ling brought two glass, pouring champagne into the glasses, they toasted to her being back, smiling Zhao Ling took the first sip.
And then she understood, her father was not here for toast, he had mixed something in champagne and as her head started spinning and everything around her was moving in a circles, she tried to stand up but she was caught by the two bodyguards and everything became blur and dark.
When she opened her eyes she was in a dark room, trying to sit up slowly she saw she was in her old bedroom, her head still spinning and aching she managed to open the door.
As soon as she opened the doors, the lights blinded her so she covered her eyes and went forward, adjusting to the lights she once again fluttered them open and climbed down the stairs, striding clumsily into the hall, she saw her father, stepmother, sister sitting on the sofa, as soon as they saw her they ordered their maids to chain her down and make her sit.
In no position of fighting she tried her level best to fight them, but at the end she sat in front of three people that she hated the most, her father included.
After making her sit her stepmother spoke to Zhao Ning.
"Call Song family, tell them we are ready to make a deal and we will be marrying our daughter to their second son."
Smiling Zhao Ning nodded as Zhao Ling understood what was happening, so she spoke in a hoarse voice.
"I won't marry any guy, you filthy people you think I will oblige to whatever shit you save for me."
Hearing her fight, Zhao Ning laughed as she replied.
"That's why I will be there as your sister in law, I am marrying the first son and you marry the second so I can keep an eye on you."
Trying to keep her eyes open Zhao Ling turned to her father as she pleaded him.
"Dad, please I am already married to someone, I cannot marry anyone else."
As they heard her say this, they were shocked so her father hastily asked her this time.
"What are you talking about, we have already made a deal and we know you are not married, how is it possible?."
Hearing her father Zhao Ling reasoned him, telling him.
"Father, ask grandfather please I am already married......I can't marry anyone."
When she said this, they could feel she was telling the truth, as Zhao Ning started pacing, she was looking very much frightened.
Seeing her in this state, Zhao Ling couldn't help but give a small laugh.
Seeing her laugh, Zhao Ning's blood boiled as she walked up to her and clutched her chin pressing tightly she pointedly yelled at her.
"You bitch, we have made a deal don't you make it hard for my dear Chao."
Saying this she pushed Zhao Ling down the sofa.
She was so tired and her brain was definitely spinning so she was not able to respond, because of something they had mixed in her champagne, she was not able to retaliate.
As Zhao Ling was pushed, she was kicked in her ribs two times, then she was kicked in her stomach hard by Zhao Ning as she was taking all her frustration out on her.
As the maids quickly stopped Zhao Ning, father Zhao quickly kneeled down as he saw Zhao Ling lose her conscious once again.
