"Why?" Belle repeated herself.
"Why?Why are you still hiding your feelings?"Belle said.
"What are you talking about B?" Lee still tried to deny it.
"Lee,you can lie to everyone in this world but not me. I know that you still love Drusilla!" Belle didn't hesitate to ask because all she wished was that he shouldn't end up like her.
Yes,Lee loves Drusilla from their childhood. Alan,Lee, Drusilla,Belle and Maddie grew up together. They lived in the same apartment. Their families weren't as rich as they are now,but they were average people living in an apartment. Drusilla is one year younger that Alan and 3 years younger than Lee. Maddie was of same age as Drusilla. Belle and Maddie were introduced to Alan and Lee by their elder brothers. Belle's brother was the same age as Alan whereas Maddie's brother was of Lee's age. Alan was 4 years elder than Belle. They all played and lived like they were own siblings and blood related. There was never a feeling of discomfort or uneasiness when they were together.
Belle and Maddie were and are still best friends but Maddie needed to move to London for business purposes 5 years ago. Ever since then they were virtually in touch. Maddie and Belle were and are inseparable.
BACK TO PRESENT....
"You know that she will never look at me like she looks at him,right?" One could clearly hear the pain in Lee's voice.
"Y-You tried confessing?"
"No." Lee bluntly answered
"Lee..." Belle called his name ever so sweetly which calmed Lee's heart and looked up at her.
"It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" Belle said in the same calm voice.
"...." Lee didn't answer her question but looked at her raising one of his eyebrow with playfulness glistening in his eyes.
"Oh Come on! I tried so hard to remember that line from a novel that I read and you aren't even praising me! You don't even know the difficulty in remembering that line I faced, I read it loooong back" Belle pouted to which Lee responding with a hysterical laugh.
"Ehx-chuse me?!" Belle said still pouting which made Lee laugh even more than before.
After some serious talking and catching up with each other they both left the café and parted their ways.
Belle spent the rest of her day blasting music in her apartment and watching reality TV shows and ended with a box of chocolate ice cream.
The next day,she got up and got ready for work and left for the company with Mr. John. The car stopped in front of the CRIMSON KINGS and Belle got down.
