"F**k" Blake looks up to see the spider staring at him.
He seemed to have cut too fast and accidentally alerted the spider.
So here Blake is, the main character of the story and soon to be hero of the world, staring death right in the face as soon as the story begins. At least that's what Blake told himself before entering the game.
So Blake pulled the most daring stunt he could think of….. Play dead! Closing his eyes while shivering he acted like he wasn't the one who cut the web off of his bare body.
The spider thankfully doesn't pursue the matter and walks off with a full stomach after finishing his meal…. Then something even worse appeared. Something Blake really really wished didn't. It's babies! Millions upon millions of babies started crawling throughout the cave.
'As if one spider wasn't enough, this game just couldn't let me have an easy start' he thinks while trying to continue playing dead.
As soon as he reclosed his eyes he started hearing screams from all around him.
"Aaaahhhh! Someone help!!!"
"No please don't! Please!!"
"Oh lord god please save me"
As more and more screams were heard they started echoing throughout the cave and blending together. And at this moment Blake realized how stupid he was.
'Just sitting here like dead meat waiting to be drained is definitely not the play, I need to take action.'
So he opened his eyes and tried to take in the situation. The black hairy spiders were swarming and covering any person or thing in their path, leaving only screams in their wake. Every bundle they hit, more and more screams were coming out so Blake knew his only way to escape was to run. So run he did.
"Agh" Blake started grunting pulling himself out of his web and trying his best to make it out. He can't help but keep glancing at the spiders slowly inching their way towards him.
"Gah, come on pull!" He yells at himself as he finally is able to pull himself out of the web and landing with a 'plop'. He scrambles to his feet and makes a mad dash away from the spiders. In his scrambling,his thoughts were clouded and he was only thinking of getting away from the current danger. He completely forgot about the presumably mother, who he his now standing face to face with.
Blake is looking at the mother spiders eyes almost in a trance. 8 very huge red eyes all looking directly at him. Blake's senses froze, he only saw death awaiting him. And then he felt intense heat coming from behind. He couldn't think straight and he didn't even notice the massive fire burning behind.
In the background screaming could be heard that he was totally unaware of. "This must be the Spider cave, we can get a good bounty if we are able to catch the mother alive!"
"Hey there's some babies behind you!"
Squishing noises could be heard while the blazing inferno was rushing through the cave.
The mother spider wasn't looking at Blake all along. She was watching the fire killing her babies, and honestly barely paid notice to Blake at all. Even though he didn't know that of course. The spider bent its hind legs and jumped onto the ceiling and started crawling towards the newcomers at an extremely fast speed.
"I wonder when the mother will come out"
"I'm sure she'll come eventually but keep an eye on the babies, they are still poisonous creatures even in tiny bodies"
"I know I know, I just want to get out of here. Spiders give me the creeps."
While they were talking the spider made it above them without a single one of them noticing. Before they realized it the spdier jumped off the ceiling and pounced right on top of the mage releasing the fire into the cave.
With a "bang" and a "crunch" everyone in the party stared at their teammate who was just bit in half without warning.
"It's here everyone attack!" The bigger man said.
While two men charged forward the woman pulled out her bow and prepared to launch an attack after the men pulled its aggro. One man charged directly toward the spider and screamed using a taunt skill to pull the aggro of the boss. The other man starting used a skill to teleport behind the boss and swing down his blades from behind.
As soon as the taunt landed and the man went to swing his sword. The archer released an arrow that looked to be taking in the wind in it surroundings. The spider spit out venom right at the man who taunted right before his blade landed and the man had to dodge roll sideways. The blades from behind landed and the spider screamed in pain. The archers arrow pierced straight through the spiders mouth.
"You piece of crap! How dare you kill are friend!" Screamed the archer.
Little did they know the spider still wasn't dead and spit out a web from behind hitting the man and sticking him to the wall and he jumped passed the man who taunted landed right in front of the archer.
"No! My taunt didn't keep its aggro because my attack didn't land, RUN!" The man screamed.
The archer tried to attempt and massive leap backwards creating distance but the distance didn't matter. The spider spit venom out of its mouth with all its might and hit the archers legs. Her legs started to burn and she started to scream.
"You damned beast how dare you!" The man who taunted earlier jumped on the spider from behind and swung down. The spider after getting hit started to squirm to get the man off but couldn't do so. Eventually succumbing to its injuries and dying with its legs curling inwards.
