I pushed open the door to the veranda and quickly made my way outside. The cool summer evening air brushed its way through my hair while I tried my best to collect myself.
I'm incredibly high up. I must be well over one hundred meters in the air right now. The city off in the distance is checkered with little lights that sparkle with each passing moment.
Were it not for the fact that a fall from this height would mean nothing to me, both because I can literally fly and for the fact that I am strong enough as to where terminal velocity cannot produce enough energy to harm me anymore, I would be rather scared. Fortunately for me, right now I feel fairly calm. Of course, my heart is still pounding a bit because of the people that I just dealt with.
I walked towards the stone railing and rested my weight against it.
