The people that had been lying in wait immediately sprung up upon hearing the news. The chattering and smiles that began to emerge filled the air while we stepped into the ballroom. There must have been at least two hundred people in attendance, so it took a bit of time for everyone to file in.
This place is massive. I would say that this rivals the size of the wedding reception, if not trumps it. There are five meter high windows on one side that show the city at a distance, along with a veranda. The floor is divided between carpet and hardwood, though both look to be obscenely expensive. There are tables that are lined with all manner of assortments of food. The fragrance alone is intoxicating.
Speaking of intoxicating, there are servants that are standing nearby with trays of alcoholic beverages in hand. Their white undershirts and black overcoats create a clear contrast between them, causing me to have to look away as to not become infatuated.
